Summary

This one-year-old Toyota Prado VXR represents a rare chance to skip the dealership waiting lists for the highly anticipated 250 Series. With just 6,397 km on the odometer, this GCC-spec example is barely broken in, offering significant mileage advantages over the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the region. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the UAE and wider Gulf, ensuring your investment remains protected. As the premium VXR trim, it bridges the gap between rugged utility and Lexus-level refinement, making it the perfect all-rounder for the modern GCC family. For those who need a vehicle that transition seamlessly from the school run to desert exploration, this is the most logical choice on the market today.

This Car vs Other 2025 Prados

While the average 2025 model in the UAE has already covered significant highway distances, this VXR sits at a remarkably low 6,397 km. This ultra-low mileage, combined with its GCC-specific cooling and filtration systems, puts it in the top tier of available pre-owned stock. The white paint is not just a practical choice for the heat, but the most liquid color for future trade-ins across the Emirates.

VXR vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the VXR adds critical luxury and tech that the GXR and EXR lack, including the massive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard Head-Up Display. For GCC summers, you benefit from upgraded ventilated seating and a more sophisticated tri-zone climate control system. It also includes the full Level 2 ADAS suite and a 360-degree camera, features that are often optional or simplified on lower grades.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The Prado continues to lead the Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in long-range touring thanks to its massive 110-litre fuel tank, a vital feature for cross-border GCC trips. Its TNGA-F body-on-frame architecture provides a level of durability in sand that monocoque rivals cannot match. Furthermore, the 3,500 kg towing capacity ensures it can handle the largest boat or horse trailers in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.4L turbo engine is tuned for the region's 95 and 98 octane fuel, delivering a balanced 10.6 km/L in combined driving. Toyota’s authorized service network is the most extensive in the world, with centers in every major city from Salalah to Kuwait City, keeping maintenance simple. Historically, the Prado retains roughly 68% of its value after three years in the GCC, a figure that consistently outperforms European and American competitors.

Performance & Capability

The new turbocharged powertrain delivers a stout 430 Nm of torque, providing much-needed punch for highway overtaking and soft-sand climbs. With 221 mm of ground clearance and a 700 mm wading depth, it is factory-ready for the more challenging wadis and dunes. The full-time 4WD system features a dual-range transfer case and a lockable center differential, ensuring you never lose traction when the tarmac ends.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the seven-seat layout is designed for maximum versatility, featuring power-folding third-row seats for easy cargo management. The cabin is heavily insulated against the intense Gulf heat, supported by high-output AC vents that reach all three rows. Premium touches like the cooled center console box and wireless smartphone integration ensure that long drives between emirates are as comfortable as they are connected.

Safety

Safety is paramount with the VXR’s standard Toyota Safety Sense suite, including Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These systems are particularly effective on the high-speed multi-lane highways of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive 7-airbag system and blind-spot monitoring to help navigate fast-moving city traffic safely.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the latest 250 Series technology without the 'new car' lead times, this low-mileage VXR offers the perfect balance of immediate availability and long-term resale security.
