Summary

This 2026 Prado GXL is practically brand new with a low odometer reading of just 17,536 km, making it a highly competitive choice in the local market. The GXL trim is widely considered the sweet spot for GCC families, adding critical comfort features like ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera over the base model. Its grey exterior is a strong, versatile color that holds its value well across the region, especially when paired with the desirable 2.4L turbocharged powertrain. As the first major redesign in over a decade, this generation offers vastly improved highway manners and tech while retaining the legendary off-road hardware that makes it a staple from Dubai to Riyadh. For any buyer looking for a modern, reliable seven-seater with a full manufacturer-supported service network, this listing is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2026 Prados

With only 17,536 km on the clock, this Prado has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC-based vehicles. Being a current-year model with low mileage, it offers a distinct advantage for buyers seeking the closest thing to a showroom-fresh car without the new-car wait times. The grey finish is not only easy to maintain in the dusty regional climate but also remains a high-demand color for resale.

GXL vs Lower Trims

The GXL trim represents a major leap in daily usability over the entry-level GX and TXR versions. It introduces essential GCC features including ventilated front seats for summer comfort, a 360-degree camera for easier parking, and synthetic leather upholstery that is more durable than fabric. You also benefit from a power tailgate, wireless charging, and tri-zone climate control, ensuring rear passengers stay as cool as those in the front.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The Prado continues to lead rivals like the Mitsubishi Montero Sport and Ford Explorer by offering a massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long cross-border drives between Emirates. While competitors move toward car-based platforms, the Prado retains a robust body-on-frame construction shared with the Land Cruiser 300, giving it a clear edge in towing capacity and long-term durability on rough wadi tracks.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.4L turbo petrol engine averages around 9.5 to 10.5 L/100km, a notable improvement over the previous V6 models in GCC stop-start traffic. Toyota's authorized service network is the most extensive in the region, ensuring easy parts availability from the UAE to Oman. Historically, the Prado remains one of the slowest-depreciating vehicles in the GCC, typically retaining a higher percentage of its value after three years than almost any other SUV in its class.

Performance & Capability

The new 2.4L turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 430 Nm of torque, making highway overtaking effortless even with seven passengers on board. It features a proper full-time 4WD system with a low-range transfer case and center differential lock, providing genuine capability for weekend desert excursions. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is one of the most capable mid-size SUVs for hauling boats or trailers across the region.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the seven-seat cabin is designed to handle the extreme heat of the Gulf, featuring a powerful tri-zone air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows. The GXL's ventilated front seats are a game-changer during the summer months, while the 12.3-inch touchscreen provides seamless wireless connectivity. The new TNGA-F platform also means much better cabin insulation, keeping the interior quiet during high-speed highway cruises.

Safety

This Prado comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, providing a full suite of active safety technology including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, which are invaluable for long desert highway drives. Standard features include nine airbags, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system that provides total awareness in tight city parking or when navigating tricky off-road terrain.

The bottom line

This is an ideal choice for a GCC family or adventurer wanting a nearly-new 2026 Prado with the most desirable regional features and a low-mileage advantage that will protect its future resale value.
