Zeekr 9X HYPER

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 3.1 seconds
• 302 km electric range (CLTC)
• 288 mm maximum ground clearance

Summary

This 2025 Zeekr 9X Hyper represents a massive leap for the brand, arriving as their first ultra-high-output hybrid flagship. With very low mileage for a vehicle of this caliber in the GCC, it offers a nearly new entry into the elite 1,000+ horsepower SUV club. The black-on-black configuration is a top-tier choice for resale in the region, ensuring long-term value retention. It effortlessly bridges the gap between hypercar-level acceleration and a practical, six-seat family environment. For the GCC buyer, this provides the perfect balance of massive electric range for city traffic and a petrol engine for cross-border trips.

This Car vs Other 2025 9Xs

With just 9,500 km on the odometer, this 9X has seen significantly less use than the typical 20,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As one of the earliest examples of the Hyper trim available in the local market, it retains its showroom-fresh mechanical integrity. The black exterior is highly sought after in the GCC, typically commanding a premium over more experimental colors during resale.

HYPER vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Hyper trim over the Max or Ultra variants adds a critical third electric motor, pushing total output to a staggering 1,381 hp. It also introduces the larger 70 kWh Freevoy battery, which nearly doubles the electric-only range compared to entry-level trims. Inside, the Hyper features the full G-Pilot H9 ADAS suite and upgraded zero-gravity seats, which are essential for staying comfortable during long desert highway commutes.

9X vs Segment Rivals

The 9X competes directly with the Range Rover and the BMW XM, yet it offers nearly double the horsepower of its German rivals. Its 900V electrical architecture allows it to charge from 20% to 80% in just 9 minutes, a speed currently unmatched by any luxury hybrid SUV in the segment. Furthermore, the 3,169 mm wheelbase provides significantly more third-row legroom than most executive crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

As a plug-in hybrid, the 9X delivers a combined CLTC range of over 1,200 km, making it remarkably efficient for long-distance driving between emirates. Service intervals for the brand's premium models are typically 20,000 km, and with Zeekr's expanding flagship network on Sheikh Zayed Road, technical support is robust. Early market data suggests strong value retention for high-spec Chinese flagships, often depreciating slower than traditional European luxury marques in the first three years.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine and a tri-motor system, this SUV generates 1,381 hp and 1,410 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.1 seconds. The dual-chamber air suspension provides 110 mm of ride height adjustment, reaching a max ground clearance of 288 mm for weekend adventures. All-wheel drive and a 48V active anti-roll system ensure the 3-ton vehicle remains flat and composed during high-speed highway overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The six-seat layout features two rows of captain's chairs, with the second row offering specialized 'Cloud Lounge' relaxation modes. The cabin is designed for the GCC heat, featuring powerful multi-zone climate control and ventilated seating for all primary passengers. Entertainment is handled by a massive 17.3-inch OLED touchscreen and a premium 3,800W Naim audio system, providing an acoustic sanctuary on long drives.

Safety

Standard safety includes the G-Pilot H9 system, utilizing five LiDAR sensors and dual Nvidia Drive Thor chips to provide Level 3 autonomous capabilities. The 9X is built with a chassis composed of 91% high-strength steel and aluminum, offering a torsional rigidity of 41,600 Nm/degree. Advanced features like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control are fine-tuned for the fast-paced, multi-lane environments of major GCC cities.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the space of a Range Rover with the acceleration of a supercar, this low-mileage 9X Hyper is the most technologically advanced hybrid SUV currently available in the region.
