Summary

The 2026 Zeekr 9X Ultra marks a paradigm shift for luxury SUVs in the GCC, combining a massive 70 kWh battery with a 2.0L turbocharged range-extender for unmatched versatility. As a Chinese-spec PHEV, it provides nearly 400 km of pure electric driving for the daily city commute and a total combined range of 1,250 km for cross-border journeys. The Ultra trim stands out with its Nappa leather craftsmanship and 900V architecture, enabling incredibly fast charging speeds that rival pure EVs. For UAE buyers, the sleek White exterior is a top choice for maintaining high resale value while reflecting the desert sun. This is the ideal vehicle for those seeking flagship luxury and advanced technology without the range limitations of a battery-only vehicle.

This Car vs Other 2026 9Xs

With very few 2026 models currently on the secondary market, this listing offers a rare chance to skip the waiting list for one of the most advanced PHEVs in the region. The White exterior is a significant advantage in the GCC, as it is the most searched-for color and holds value better than darker tones. Given its recent release, this example represents a nearly-new opportunity to own Zeekr's flagship technology at a competitive entry point.

ULTRA vs Lower Trims

The Ultra trim is the definitive executive choice, upgrading from the base Max with a larger 70 kWh battery and a dual-chamber air suspension system that is essential for GCC road comfort. Unlike lower tiers, the Ultra features ventilated and massaging front and second-row seats as standard, which are vital for the local climate. You also benefit from the premium 32-speaker Naim audio system and a 47-inch AR head-up display that are not available on entry-level models.

9X vs Segment Rivals

The Zeekr 9X leads rivals like the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9 by offering a 900V high-voltage platform, allowing it to charge significantly faster at public DC stations across the UAE. Its 3,169 mm wheelbase provides superior second-row legroom compared to standard European luxury SUVs, making it a better family logistics tool. Furthermore, the 9X's 48V active anti-roll system offers more stable highway handling at high speeds than traditional air-sprung competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is exceptional for a 3-ton SUV, as the 2.0L engine primarily acts as a generator to maintain battery levels during long Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi highway runs. In typical GCC stop-start traffic, the 9X operates almost exclusively in EV mode, dramatically reducing monthly running costs compared to V8 rivals. While Chinese-spec models require third-party service specialists in some GCC markets, the growing Zeekr network in the UAE and Saudi Arabia provides increasing peace of mind. Expected depreciation for this flagship PHEV is roughly 12-15% annually, performing strongly against European luxury brands.

Performance & Capability

The Ultra AWD powertrain delivers a combined 897 hp, propelling this full-size SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds—performance that was once reserved for supercars. The dual-chamber air suspension offers a maximum ground clearance of 288 mm, making it surprisingly capable for weekend gravel tracks or soft sand entry. With five distinct off-road modes including Sand and Mud, the 9X is engineered to handle varied GCC terrains while maintaining a top speed of 240 km/h for confident highway overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The six-seat layout features dedicated captain's chairs in the second row, offering a first-class travel experience for all passengers. The 4.2-square-meter daylight area provided by the panoramic roof is balanced by electric privacy sunshades and a powerful GCC-tuned climate control system with dedicated rear vents. Acoustic glass and thick noise insulation ensure the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, even on noisy multi-lane highways. The 677-liter boot space ensures ample room for golf sets or family luggage during weekend road trips.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a high-strength steel and aluminum chassis providing 41,600 Nm/degree of torsional rigidity. The Ultra trim comes standard with a full LiDAR-powered ADAS suite, featuring highway navigation assist and 360-degree cameras that are invaluable for parking large SUVs in tight city spaces. The 900V battery is protected by nine layers of side-impact shielding, and the adaptive cruise control makes long desert drives significantly less fatiguing for the driver.

The bottom line

For the tech-focused GCC family that demands zero-compromise luxury and rapid acceleration, this Zeekr 9X Ultra is a future-proof PHEV that eliminates range anxiety entirely.
