Summary

This 2026 Hyundai Kona arrives as a virtually new subcompact SUV with only 274 km on the odometer, making it one of the freshest examples currently available in the market. As an American spec vehicle in a classic Grey finish, it offers the updated styling of the latest generation, which has significantly grown in size to better accommodate GCC family needs. The 2.0L powertrain is ideally suited for the region's stop-start urban traffic, providing a smooth and highly efficient commute between the Emirates. While American spec vehicles differ from local agency cars in warranty terms, this listing represents a significant opportunity to own the latest model year with delivery-level mileage. For the buyer who prioritizes modern tech and low running costs in a compact footprint, this Kona is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hyundai Konas

With just 274 km, this vehicle sits well below the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market, effectively offering a new-car experience. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, showing less dust and maintaining strong resale appeal compared to more niche colors. As a latest-generation model, it features the extended wheelbase that resolves the legroom complaints of previous years.

COMFORT PLUS vs Lower Trims

The Comfort Plus trim bridges the gap between essential utility and premium convenience, adding features often missing in base models like wireless device charging and dual-zone automatic temperature control. You also benefit from the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen interface, which is a major upgrade for daily navigation and media use compared to the smaller base units. It retains the efficient 2.0L engine, avoiding the higher maintenance complexity of the turbocharged variants.

Kona vs Segment Rivals

The Kona leads the subcompact segment in cargo versatility, offering a dual-level floor and 723 litres of space that rivals the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross. Its cabin technology, featuring a standard digital cockpit layout, feels a generation ahead of the Mazda CX-30's more traditional interior. For GCC drivers, the Kona's wide-aperture air vents and revised cooling system are specifically designed to handle rapid cabin temperature drops during summer.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is a major strength, averaging approximately 7.5 L/100km on a combined cycle, which is excellent for long commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While American spec cars generally see a faster initial depreciation than GCC agency cars, the extremely low mileage of this unit helps preserve its value significantly. Hyundai's massive parts and service network across the UAE and wider GCC ensures that maintenance remains affordable and convenient regardless of the vehicle's origin.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L naturally aspirated engine produces a reliable 147 horsepower, paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) that mimics traditional gear shifts for a more natural highway feel. While not a desert off-roader, its front-wheel-drive setup is optimized for fuel efficiency and stable handling on wet or sandy road surfaces. With a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 10 seconds, it provides sufficient power for confident highway merging and urban maneuvering.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior has been completely redesigned for the 2026 model year, providing significantly more rear legroom and shoulder room than its predecessor. The cabin features dedicated rear climate vents, a critical addition for keeping all five passengers comfortable during the intense GCC summer months. Acoustic windshield glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway cruising, while the 60/40 split-folding seats allow for a total flat-load capacity of 1,803 litres.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with the full Hyundai SmartSense suite, featuring Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning—essential for the fast-paced multi-lane traffic found on the E11. Standard Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go adds significant comfort to long-distance drives across the region, while the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance system makes parking in tight urban malls much safer.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-conscious city dweller, this ultra-low mileage 2026 Kona offers the latest automotive features and exceptional fuel economy in a practically new package.
