Summary

The 2026 Infiniti QX80 AUTOGRAPH BENCH CHAIRS represents a transformative leap for the flagship SUV, moving into a tier of luxury that directly challenges the best from Europe and America. This specific GCC-spec model is an exceptional find as it features the rare 8-seat configuration while maintaining the top-tier Autograph luxury finishes, a combination highly sought after by large families in the region. Finished in timeless Black, this vehicle benefits from the strongest resale demand in the GCC market, ensuring it holds its value far better than bolder, niche colors. The move to a high-output twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine provides the perfect balance of massive torque for highway overtaking and improved efficiency for long-distance hauls across the Emirates. For a buyer looking for the latest in Japanese reliability paired with a cabin that rivals high-end lounges, this 2026 model offers a significant technology advantage over previous generations. It stands out in the segment by offering more standard features than its German rivals while maintaining a more approachable long-term service profile for the Gulf climate.

This Car vs Other 2026 QX80s

As a 2026 model, this vehicle is at the absolute forefront of the current generation, meaning it carries the latest architectural and technological updates that will remain current for years to come. In the GCC market, where newer models are highly prized, owning the debut years of a redesign typically translates to much slower initial depreciation compared to buying at the end of a model's life cycle. The Black exterior is the premier choice for the QX80 in this region, offering a professional and imposing presence that remains the most liquid asset on the used market. While many 2026 units are entering the market as fleet or basic trims, this Autograph edition with the bench chair configuration is a specific niche that caters to those who need maximum seating capacity without sacrificing premium materials. The mileage is effectively delivery-standard for a vehicle of this age, ensuring the mechanical components haven't yet been subjected to the intense heat cycles of multiple GCC summers. This puts the buyer in the best possible position regarding warranty longevity and long-term mechanical health.

AUTOGRAPH BENCH CHAIRS vs Lower Trims

The AUTOGRAPH BENCH CHAIRS trim is the pinnacle of the Infiniti lineup, offering a level of interior craftsmanship that is noticeably absent in the Luxe or Sensory grades. While lower trims provide standard leather, the Autograph features semi-aniline leather with unique stitching and open-pore wood inlays that elevate the cabin to a true luxury tier. A major differentiator for GCC buyers is the inclusion of the Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, which provides a studio-quality experience that lower-tier systems cannot match. Unlike the standard Autograph which often comes with second-row captain's chairs, the Bench Chairs variant allows for a full 8-passenger capacity, making it the most versatile version of the flagship. You also benefit from the ProPILOT Assist 2.1 suite as standard, which offers a more sophisticated level of driver assistance on the highway than the basic systems found on entry-level models. Furthermore, the Autograph receives unique exterior styling cues and 22-inch wheels that provide a more commanding stance on the road.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The QX80 competes in a heavy-weight category against the Lexus LX600, Cadillac Escalade, and Lincoln Navigator. Where the Infiniti takes the lead for a GCC buyer is its combination of a powerful 450 hp twin-turbo engine and a more modern, tech-focused interior than the current Lexus. While the Escalade offers size, the QX80 provides a more refined, Japanese approach to reliability and cooling efficiency which is critical for the 50-degree summers in Riyadh or Kuwait City. Its 3.5L 6-cylinder engine offers significantly more torque than the naturally aspirated V8s of the past, making it more capable during high-speed highway merges. The QX80 also features a more integrated and user-friendly infotainment layout compared to the vertical screens found in some American rivals, which can be prone to glare in the bright desert sun. For families, the QX80 provides a more generous third-row experience than many European alternatives, ensuring that even adults can sit comfortably during long drives between emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a 2026 QX80 in the GCC is surprisingly efficient thanks to the new 3.5L twin-turbocharged engine which replaces the older, thirstier V8. Real-world fuel consumption is significantly improved, especially on long highway stretches like the E11, where the 9-speed automatic transmission keeps RPMs low. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and with one of the most robust authorized service networks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, maintenance is convenient and parts are readily available. The depreciation for the QX80 is historically lower than European luxury SUVs, typically losing only 10-12% in its first year compared to the 18% seen in some German competitors. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a massive value advantage over imported US or Canadian units, as it includes a local warranty and a cooling system optimized for extreme heat. Buyers can expect high demand when it comes time to resell, particularly in the UAE and Saudi markets where the 8-seat configuration is a prized commodity.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure for the 2026 QX80 is its 450 hp output, delivered through a sophisticated twin-turbo system that ensures power is available instantly. On the highway, this translates to effortless overtaking and a composed feel even when fully loaded with eight passengers and luggage. The Four Wheel Drive system is genuinely capable, featuring multiple terrain modes that allow it to handle sandy tracks and gravel paths with ease during weekend escapes to the desert. It offers a substantial towing capacity, making it ideal for those who own boats or jet skis in the coastal regions of the GCC. The Electronic Air Suspension provides a 'magic carpet' ride quality, smoothing out the imperfections of city roads while automatically lowering the vehicle at high speeds to improve aerodynamics and stability. With high ground clearance, the QX80 remains unfazed by high curbs or seasonal wadi crossings, providing a sense of security that smaller crossovers simply cannot match.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the AUTOGRAPH BENCH CHAIRS trim is designed to be a sanctuary from the harsh outdoor environment of the Gulf. It features a triple-zone climate control system that is specifically engineered to pull down cabin temperatures rapidly after the car has been parked in the sun. The 8-seat layout is exceptionally flexible, with the second-row bench offering ample legroom and the ability to slide and tilt for easy access to the third row. Both the front and outer second-row seats are ventilated, a critical feature for maintaining comfort during the humid summer months in cities like Dubai or Doha. The insulation is world-class, utilizing acoustic glass to shield passengers from wind noise and the roar of surrounding traffic on busy multi-lane highways. Luxury touches such as the refrigerated center console box ensure that drinks stay cold even on the longest cross-country road trips. The 24-speaker Klipsch audio system transforms the cabin into a private concert hall, making every commute an enjoyable experience.

Safety

Safety in the 2026 QX80 is handled by an array of sensors that provide 360-degree protection, essential for navigating the fast-paced traffic of the GCC. The most advanced ADAS suite is standard on this trim, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning that can sense the speed and distance of two vehicles ahead, giving you extra reaction time. Blind Spot Intervention is particularly useful on wide highways where lane changes occur at high speeds, while Lane Departure Prevention keeps the vehicle centered during long, fatiguing drives. For parking in tight mall spaces, the 3D Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection provides a bird's-eye perspective that makes the large SUV feel much smaller and easier to manage. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive airbag system that protects all three rows, ensuring peace of mind for those traveling with children. Its heavy-duty frame and advanced stability control provide a solid foundation for safety on both paved roads and uneven terrain.

The bottom line

This 2026 Infiniti QX80 is the perfect match for a large family that demands the highest level of luxury and Japanese reliability in a GCC-optimized package. With its rare 8-seat configuration and top-tier Autograph features, it represents a unique opportunity to own a flagship SUV that is as capable on a desert weekend as it is refined at a 5-star hotel valet.
