Summary

This 2026 Lexus LX700h VIP represents the pinnacle of the new hybrid flagship, offering a rare blend of electrification and body-on-frame durability. As the range-topping 4-seater, it trades a third row for executive-level rear passenger space and high-end features like massaging ottomans. In the GCC market, the black exterior remains a premier choice for resale value, perfectly complementing the car's imposing presence. This model stands out by delivering the low-end torque of a hybrid system while maintaining the heavy-duty off-road DNA of its predecessors. For the GCC buyer, it offers the ultimate balance of long-distance highway comfort and reliable service support across the region.

This Car vs Other 2026 LX700hs

While most 2026 LX700h units in the GCC are configured as 7-seaters for family duties, this VIP trim is a dedicated executive transport. The hybrid powertrain is factory-fresh for the 2026 model year, ensuring this vehicle carries the latest in Lexus electrification technology. Its black-on-black aesthetic is a high-demand combination in the local market, often fetching a premium at resale compared to lighter tones.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim (known globally as Ultra Luxury) removes the third row to create a first-class rear cabin with power-reclining captain chairs and a right-side ottoman. Over the standard Luxury trim, it adds 11.4-inch rear entertainment screens, a dedicated 7-inch VIP climate control tablet, and an upgraded 25-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound system. You also benefit from a cool box in the center console and a 2,400-watt AC inverter, features specifically tuned for long desert journeys.

LX700h vs Segment Rivals

The LX700h competes directly with the Cadillac Escalade and the Range Rover, but leads the segment in long-term reliability and authorized service density across the GCC. While rivals may focus purely on road manners, the Lexus maintains a genuine low-range transfer case and body-on-frame construction for superior durability in extreme heat. Its 457 hp hybrid system provides smoother low-speed crawling and better city efficiency than the purely petrol V8 alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

With a combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.7 L/100km, the LX700h is notably more efficient in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh than the standard LX600. It requires 95 or 98 octane fuel to maintain performance across the GCC's high-speed highway networks. Lexus retains its position as one of the strongest value-holding brands in the region, typically seeing lower annual depreciation than European rivals. Service centers are readily available from Al-Futtaim in the UAE to Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts availability is never an issue.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbo hybrid powertrain delivers a massive 790 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in roughly 6.4 seconds—an impressive feat for a vehicle of this scale. It features a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system with dedicated modes for Sand, Mud, and Rock, supported by a 700 mm wading depth. The Active Height Control allows the driver to raise the body for 206 mm of minimum ground clearance, making it highly capable for weekend desert excursions or navigating rougher wadi terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

The 4-seat VIP layout is designed for maximum cooling and comfort, featuring four-zone automatic climate control and ventilated seats in both rows. The cabin is heavily insulated with acoustic glass to maintain a library-quiet atmosphere even at GCC highway speeds. Rear passengers enjoy massaging functions and a wireless charging dock, while the front occupants benefit from 10-way power-adjustable seating. The interior uses premium semi-aniline leather and Takanoha wood trim, reflecting its flagship status.

Safety

Standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, this trim includes advanced ADAS features such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. The 360° Panoramic View Monitor is essential for parking such a large SUV in tight city spaces, while Blind Spot Monitoring provides safety during high-speed highway lane changes. It also features 12 airbags and Lane Tracing Assist to reduce driver fatigue during long-distance cross-country drives.

The bottom line

This 2026 LX700h VIP is the ultimate choice for the executive who demands the reliability of a Lexus with the prestige of a flagship hybrid SUV. It is a rare opportunity to own the highest specification available in the GCC market for the current model year.
