Summary

The 2026 Lexus LX700h F SPORT represents the new pinnacle of the LX range, finally introducing hybrid efficiency to the legendary flagship SUV without sacrificing its body-on-frame toughness. This specific GCC-spec model is a strategic choice for regional buyers, as the grey exterior offers a sophisticated aesthetic while maintaining better heat management than darker tones. The F SPORT trim stands out with its aggressive spindle grille and performance-tuned dampers, bridging the gap between a luxury cruiser and a driver-focused SUV. With the hybrid system providing instant torque for city traffic and a massive dual fuel tank for long desert hauls, this is the most versatile LX ever built for the Middle East. It remains the region’s preferred alternative to European luxury rivals, primarily due to its peerless reliability and the strongest service network in the GCC.

This Car vs Other 2026 LX700hs

As a 2026 model, this LX700h represents the inaugural year for the hybrid powertrain, making it a high-demand entry in the pre-owned market. Given the high average annual mileage in the GCC of 20,000–25,000 km, any vehicle from this model year effectively offers near-factory mechanical longevity. The grey exterior is a resilient choice for the local market, resisting the visible effects of sand and dust while holding a strong resale premium similar to white or silver.

F SPORT vs Lower Trims

The F SPORT trim distinguishes itself from lower hybrid grades with performance-oriented hardware, including a Torsen limited-slip rear differential and specifically tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the standard front and rear ventilated seats and the 22-inch forged alloy wheels that provide a more commanding presence on the road. It also adds a unique mesh-pattern spindle grille and dark metallic interior accents that are absent on the Signature or Prestige trims.

LX700h vs Segment Rivals

The LX700h leads rivals like the Range Rover P460e and BMW X7 by offering a parallel hybrid system specifically engineered for desert durability, featuring a secondary starter and alternator that allow the 4WD system to function even if the hybrid battery is fully depleted. Its 110-litre total fuel capacity (including the 30-litre sub-tank) provides a cruising range that European competitors cannot match on long-distance cross-border drives. Furthermore, the Lexus maintains a higher ground clearance and a more robust body-on-frame architecture than its monocoque-based peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency is a major draw, with the hybrid system delivering approximately 10.0 L/100km, a significant improvement over the petrol-only LX600 in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Lexus continues to dominate value retention in the GCC market, with the LX typically retaining 85-90% of its value after the first year. Maintenance is straightforward thanks to the extensive Al-Futtaim and regional authorized service networks, with recommended service intervals occurring every 10,000 km.

Performance & Capability

The combined 790 Nm of torque provides effortless acceleration, allowing this massive SUV to reach 100 km/h in approximately 6.4 seconds. It retains a full-size 3,500 kg braked towing capacity and a 700 mm wading depth, ensured by a specially waterproofed hybrid battery casing. The Active Height Control (AHC) system allows for a significant lift in low range, providing the necessary clearance for weekend dune bashing or navigating rocky wadi terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat configuration offers maximum cargo flexibility and second-row legroom, ideal for small families or executive use. The cabin is an oasis against the GCC heat, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and a standard cool box in the center console. High-grade semi-aniline leather and acoustic glass ensure the interior remains silent and refined even at high highway speeds between the Emirates.

Safety

Standard safety features include the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which provides a full ADAS suite including Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection and Lane Tracing Assist. For the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the GCC, the standard 360-degree camera and Blind Spot Monitor are indispensable. The vehicle is also equipped with a robust airbag system and stability control systems specifically calibrated for high-speed highway stability and loose-surface traction.

The bottom line

This 2026 LX700h F SPORT is the perfect acquisition for a buyer seeking the ultimate blend of Lexus prestige, hybrid efficiency, and verified GCC-spec durability. It offers a rare opportunity to own the latest iteration of the region's favorite luxury SUV with the most powerful and efficient powertrain in its history.
