Mercedes Benz G63 AMG STANDARD

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.4 seconds
• Hand-built V8 engine
• Three locking differentials with low-range transfer case

Summary

This 2026 G63 AMG arrives in near-showroom condition with just 100 km, offering a significant advantage for buyers seeking the latest generation without the typical waitlist for new allocations. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient and sought-after choice for GCC resale, balancing luxury presence with practicality in dusty environments. While the G-Class remains a segment of one, it continues to lead in pure presence and mechanical character compared to modern, road-biased rivals. For a GCC owner, the addition of the new 48-volt mild-hybrid system provides smoother start-stop performance and improved power delivery for urban driving in Dubai or Riyadh. This specific unit represents an opportunity to secure the updated W463A chassis in its most current and capable form.

This Car vs Other 2026 G63 AMGs

With only 100 km on the odometer, this vehicle is essentially brand new, sitting well below the 20,000 km annual average for daily-driven luxury SUVs in the region. The Grey exterior finish is a top-tier choice for the GCC market, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining higher resale value than niche or matte colors. This is a rare chance to skip the production queue for a current-year model in a globally preferred specification.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier AMG variant, the G63 adds substantial hardware over the G500, including the handcrafted M177 V8 engine and the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission for faster shifts. GCC buyers will particularly value the standard Burmester 3D Surround Sound system and the updated MBUX interior featuring a 360-degree camera with the new Transparent Hood function for navigating tight parking or desert obstacles. The G63 also features uprated AMG high-performance braking systems, essential for managing speed on fast-moving regional highways.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands apart from the Lamborghini Urus and Range Rover Autobiography by retaining a rugged body-on-frame construction and three mechanical differential locks, making it a genuine 4x4 rather than just a performance crossover. Its 100-litre fuel tank offers superior touring range for long desert highway drives across the Emirates or into Saudi Arabia. While rivals focus on aerodynamics, the G63 leads in sheer vertical visibility and the commanding 'king of the road' driving position favored in Gulf traffic.

Running Costs & Resale

The G63 is a high-performance machine with a real-world fuel consumption of approximately 14.7 to 15.7 L/100km under WLTP cycles, requiring 98-octane Super fuel for peak performance. Service intervals typically occur every 15,000 km or annually, and Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the strongest authorized service networks across all major GCC cities. As a European spec vehicle, buyers should confirm local warranty activation with the primary UAE distributor, though G-Class models historically enjoy the slowest depreciation curves in the luxury SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

Despite its boxy silhouette, the G63 hits 100 km/h in a verified 4.4 seconds, thanks to 585 hp and a massive 850 Nm of torque. It is a formidable off-roader with 241 mm of ground clearance and a maximum wading depth of 700 mm, easily handling weekend excursions into the dunes. The new active suspension systems introduced in this generation significantly reduce body roll, making it a surprisingly refined cruiser for long-distance travel between Abu Dhabi and Muscat.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a high-tech sanctuary featuring Nappa leather seating for five and 64-color ambient lighting that transforms the cabin during night drives. The air conditioning system is specifically designed to manage high ambient temperatures, complemented by rear-seat vents and a digital cockpit that remains clear even in direct sunlight. Acoustic glass is standard, ensuring the iconic V8 exhaust note stays outside until you choose to open the valves via the active exhaust button.

Safety

This G63 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Active Steering Assist and Active Emergency Stop Assist, which are particularly beneficial for maintaining lane discipline on long desert roads. The standard 360-degree camera system and 'Transparent Hood' provide a virtual view under the front of the car, critical for avoiding high curbs or sharp rocks. Nine airbags and a high-strength steel passenger cell provide top-tier protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

This virtually new 2026 G63 is the ideal choice for the buyer who demands immediate delivery of the latest AMG icon in a high-resale specification.
