Summary

This 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander GLX Highline offers a practical entry point into a high-spec family SUV with significantly lower mileage than typical for its age in the UAE market. Finished in a high-resale red, this GCC-spec crossover provides the security of all-wheel drive and seven-seat versatility in a footprint that remains easy to park in urban centers like Dubai or Riyadh. The 2.5L engine is a proven workhorse in the region, known for its mechanical simplicity and cooling efficiency during the peak summer months. For a family buyer, this listing represents a balanced opportunity to own a current-generation SUV that is still within its prime mechanical window. It stands as a reliable, high-value alternative to five-seat rivals, offering extra capacity without the footprint of a full-size 4x4.

This Car vs Other 2026 Outlanders

With just 27,785 km on the odometer, this Outlander has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for GCC highway commuters. The exterior red is a distinctive yet safe choice for the region, maintaining better value retention than experimental colors. Choosing a 2026 model allows you to benefit from the latest generation's chassis refinements while avoiding the initial depreciation of a showroom-fresh vehicle.

GLX HIGHLINE vs Lower Trims

The GLX Highline trim elevates the ownership experience with essential GCC comforts, including a larger 12.3-inch digital driver display and upgraded interior materials compared to the base GLX. It typically adds advanced features such as the Multi-view camera system and smartphone wireless charging, which are highly valued by tech-forward buyers in the UAE. These additions make the Highline a far more compelling choice for daily family use than the more basic entry-level variants.

Outlander vs Segment Rivals

The Outlander holds a unique advantage over the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V by offering a standard third row, providing seven-passenger capacity where rivals only offer five. It shares many mechanical components with the Nissan X-Trail, ensuring that parts and technical expertise are available in every corner of the GCC. The Mitsubishi-exclusive S-AWC system also provides more sophisticated torque vectoring than most rivals in this class, offering better stability on loose gravel and rain-slicked tarmac.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.5L naturally aspirated engine is designed for long-term durability in extreme heat, with real-world fuel consumption averaging approximately 8.7 L/100km on long highway stretches between emirates. Mitsubishi maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, keeping maintenance costs predictable. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains a higher resale value and easier serviceability than imported American or European models. Typically, the Outlander sees a depreciation rate of 10-12% annually, performing strongly against European competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5L 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 181 hp, providing enough power for confident highway overtaking and family road trips. With 210 mm of ground clearance, it easily clears high speed bumps and handles weekend drives to desert campsites or gravel wadis. The Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system features a dedicated Tarmac mode for high-speed stability on the E11 and a Mud mode for unpaved terrain, ensuring the car remains composed regardless of the surface.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for family logistics, featuring a sliding and reclining second row that allows you to prioritize legroom or cargo space as needed. Tri-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents is essential for the GCC summer, ensuring all three rows stay cool even in 45°C heat. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation help keep the interior quiet during high-speed cruising, while the 478 litres of boot space (with the third row folded) easily accommodates large grocery hauls or weekend luggage.

Safety

This Highline trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including multiple airbags and Mitsubishi’s advanced stability control. Standard features such as Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are invaluable for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways in the UAE. The inclusion of Forward Collision Mitigation and a 360-degree camera provides additional peace of mind during tight urban parking and school drop-offs.

The bottom line

This is the ideal SUV for a growing GCC family looking for a low-mileage, current-generation seven-seater that balances Japanese reliability with modern tech.
