Summary

This 2026 RAM 1500 Limited represents the new era of high-output performance in the GCC, replacing the traditional V8 with the significantly more powerful 540 hp Hurricane engine. Finished in black, it occupies a premium position in the used market where dark colors on luxury trucks command strong interest for their executive presence. As a Limited trim, it bridges the gap between a rugged 4x4 and a luxury sedan, making it a standout choice for buyers who need towing capability without sacrificing cabin refinement. For the GCC owner, the combination of a massive fuel tank and the new engine's highway efficiency makes it an ideal companion for long-distance hauls between major cities like Dubai and Riyadh.

This Car vs Other 2026 RAM 1500s

With near-zero mileage, this 2026 model offers a significant advantage over typical GCC used stock, which often sees 25,000 km in its first year. The black exterior is a high-demand resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, offering a sleek, authoritative look that maintains value better than niche shades. This specific unit features the High Output engine, which is the most sought-after powertrain for 2026, outperforming both the standard I6 and the returning 5.7L V8.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim adds critical luxury features that GCC buyers prioritize, most notably the Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension which provides adjustable ride height for desert sand or highway cruising. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen and premium leather-trimmed bucket seats that are both heated and ventilated—a necessity for the local climate. It also includes power-deployable running boards and a premium 19-speaker audio system that are absent on the Laramie or Big Horn trims.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM 1500 Limited leads the Ford F-150 Platinum and Chevrolet Silverado High Country in interior material quality, utilizing real wood and metal accents that feel more premium for executive use. Its class-exclusive air suspension offers a smoother ride on uneven desert tracks compared to the traditional leaf-spring setups found in some competitors. Additionally, the 540 hp High Output engine provides a power advantage over the standard V8 options found in rival flagship trucks.

Running Costs & Resale

The High Output Hurricane engine is designed for efficiency during long GCC highway drives, though stop-start city traffic in places like Abu Dhabi will see higher consumption typical of a 540 hp vehicle. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 to 12,000 km, supported by an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Resale value for GCC-spec RAM trucks remains high, with the Limited trim typically retaining more value than entry-level trims due to its high-demand tech suite.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 540 hp output, which delivers effortless overtaking power on high-speed highways and plenty of low-end grunt for soft sand driving. Its 4,500 kg towing capacity is class-leading for a half-ton pickup, making it capable of hauling large boats or horse trailers with ease. The selectable 4WD system, paired with adjustable ground clearance that reaches up to 256 mm in Off-Road 2 mode, ensures it can handle weekend excursions into the dunes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a high-capacity dual-zone climate control system and ventilated front seats that provide immediate relief during summer. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and a spacious floor plan that accommodates three adults comfortably on long journeys. Noise insulation is excellent, using acoustic glass to keep the cabin quiet even at high highway speeds, while the panoramic sunroof adds a sense of space during cooler winter drives.

Safety

The Limited trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, which is invaluable for the long, straight highways of the region. Blind Spot Monitoring with Trailer Detection and a 360-degree Surround View Camera make navigating tight city parking and merging in fast-moving traffic much safer. It also features Forward Collision Warning and Lane Sense departure systems to provide an extra layer of security during long-distance commutes.

The bottom line

This 2026 RAM 1500 Limited is the perfect match for the GCC professional who needs the 540 hp muscle of a modern truck paired with the luxury of a flagship sedan.
