Summary

This 3-year-old RAM 1500 TRX presents a rare opportunity in the GCC market, showing exceptionally low mileage for its age compared to the region's high-usage standards. Finished in black, a color with strong resale demand in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this super-truck offers a significant advantage over standard pickups with its factory-wide body and performance-tuned chassis. As the final years of the pure HEMI V8 TRX are celebrated, this specific vehicle represents a high-performance icon that outmuscles almost everything in the desert dunes. For a GCC buyer, the combination of raw power and the prestige of the TRX badge makes this a standout choice for those seeking the ultimate off-road machine.

This Car vs Other 2023 RAM 1500s

With just 3,110 km on the odometer, this TRX has been driven significantly less than the typical 60,000–75,000 km expected for a 3-year-old vehicle in the GCC. While many pickups in this region serve as high-mileage daily drivers, this unit has been preserved, making it one of the freshest examples available. The black exterior is a primary choice for local buyers, ensuring it maintains a higher resale floor than more niche colors.

TRX vs Lower Trims

Moving up from the Rebel or Limited trims to the TRX adds more than just power; it introduces a reinforced frame and a 3-inch wider track for high-speed stability. Unlike the standard 5.7L HEMI, the TRX features the legendary supercharged 6.2L engine and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers standard. Inside, the TRX upgrades the experience with carbon fiber accents, a flat-bottom performance steering wheel, and a 12-inch Uconnect display with dedicated performance pages.

RAM 1500 vs Segment Rivals

The TRX leads its primary rival, the Ford F-150 Raptor, in raw horsepower and torque, offering a more visceral V8 experience compared to V6 alternatives. Its wider stance and specialized cooling system are purpose-built for the extreme ambient temperatures of the Liwa or Rub' al Khali deserts. While the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro offers hybrid efficiency, the RAM's 702 hp output remains the benchmark for high-speed desert running in the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption reflects its high-performance nature, averaging roughly 20L/100km, though this increases during spirited desert driving. Maintenance is well-supported through extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended intervals at 10,000 km. Historically, the TRX has shown superior value retention in the GCC, often keeping over 70% of its value after three years due to its status as a discontinued V8 legend.

Performance & Capability

The TRX rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, a figure that rivals many sports cars on the E11 highway. It is equipped with eight selectable drive modes, including 'Baja' for high-speed sand maneuvers and 'Rock' for technical climbs. With 882 Nm of torque and a 3,674 kg towing capacity, it effortlessly manages heavy trailers or boat hauls to the coast.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to keep five passengers comfortable in 45-degree heat, featuring powerful dual-zone climate control and ventilated front seats. High-quality materials like Alcantara and leather are used throughout, ensuring a premium feel during long drives across borders. The 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system provides exceptional clarity, while the dual-pane panoramic sunroof offers expansive views without compromising cabin insulation.

Safety

Standard safety features include a 360-degree camera system, which is essential for maneuvering this wide-body truck in tight city parking. It also features adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring, providing peace of mind during fast-paced highway commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The reinforced high-strength steel frame and multiple airbags ensure top-tier protection in both city and off-road environments.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands the fastest, most capable V8 truck in the region, this ultra-low-mileage TRX is the premier choice before these supercharged icons disappear from the market.
