Summary

This listing represents a unique opportunity to own one of the most technologically advanced vehicles currently available in the region. As a brand-new model year, it offers the absolute latest in range-extended electric vehicle technology, perfectly suited for the GCC's long-distance driving demands without the range anxiety of a pure EV. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring strong resale interest when you eventually decide to upgrade. With its ultra-premium VIP interior configuration and massive horsepower output, it positions itself as a sophisticated alternative to traditional luxury SUVs. The range-extended powertrain is particularly valuable for owners who frequently travel between cities like Dubai and Riyadh, where charging stops can be inconvenient. This specific trim maximizes both executive comfort and family utility, making it one of the most versatile high-performance SUVs on the market today.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a brand-new 2026 model year vehicle, this example reflects the absolute latest hardware and software specifications available from the factory. In the GCC market, where buyers prioritize the newest technology and pristine condition, having a current-year model provides a significant advantage in terms of initial depreciation and long-term ownership appeal. The mileage is at its absolute minimum, essentially providing a factory-fresh experience for the first owner. While many early-release models in the region might feature standard configurations, this VIP trim sets a higher benchmark for internal luxury. The deep black paint is not only a classic choice but also ranks as one of the most resilient colors for resale value across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Choosing a 2026 model ensures you are protected by the most recent updates to the battery management system and cooling configurations designed for extreme temperatures.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive statement of luxury for this model, moving away from a standard bench-seat arrangement to a more exclusive six-seat configuration. This change introduces high-grade captain chairs in the second row, which are a major selling point for those who prioritize passenger comfort during long cross-border drives. Unlike the entry-level packages, the VIP focus brings significantly upgraded cabin materials and enhanced sound insulation to create a quiet sanctuary from city noise. You will also find that the advanced driver assistance suite is fully unlocked on this level, providing features like a 360-degree transparent chassis view that lower trims may omit. Cooling performance is also prioritized here, with more sophisticated multi-zone climate controls that ensure every passenger remains comfortable even when the external temperature hits 50 degrees Celsius. For the discerning buyer, the difference is immediately apparent in the touchpoints, from the premium upholstery to the integrated massage and ventilation functions standard on this trim.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 enters a competitive segment populated by established luxury players like the Li Auto L9 and premium European mid-size SUVs, but it distinguishes itself through its robust Range Extended Electric Vehicle setup. While traditional petrol rivals struggle with high fuel consumption in the stop-start traffic of Dubai or Doha, this model uses its 1.5-liter generator to maintain battery levels, offering significantly better efficiency. Compared to pure electric competitors, it offers far superior convenience for long-distance highway cruising where high-speed charging infrastructure may still be developing. The interior volume and specifically the comfort of the second-row captain chairs often surpass what is found in German competitors of a similar price bracket. Furthermore, the combined output of 476 horsepower allows it to outperform several V8-powered rivals in terms of immediate torque and smooth acceleration. It effectively bridges the gap between rugged off-road capability and the refined tech-forward experience that modern GCC families now expect.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs for a REEV in the GCC are among the lowest in the luxury segment, as the daily commute can often be handled on pure electric power. For longer trips across the UAE or into Oman, the efficient 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine acts as a generator, requiring only standard high-grade petrol available at any station. Maintenance is generally simpler than a traditional internal combustion vehicle, as the engine operates under less stress and the regenerative braking reduces wear on brake components. In terms of resale, while the brand is a newer entrant to the GCC, the high demand for high-tech SUVs ensures a steady market of tech-savvy buyers. As a Chinese spec vehicle, it is important to verify local service center compatibility in your specific city, although many specialized workshops in major hubs like Dubai and Riyadh are now fully equipped for these models. Predictable depreciation for a high-end REEV typically follows the path of premium tech products, holding strong value in its first three years due to its cutting-edge feature set.

Performance & Capability

With a staggering 476 horsepower delivered through an intelligent All Wheel Drive system, this vehicle offers performance that belies its size. The acceleration is near-instantaneous, which is incredibly useful for safely merging into fast-moving traffic on the E11 or E311 highways. Because it utilizes electric motors for primary propulsion, the torque delivery is smooth and silent, providing a grand touring experience that feels effortless at any speed. The AWD system is designed to handle more than just tarmac; it provides confident stability on gravel tracks and during coastal weekend trips where surfaces can be unpredictable. Despite its focus on luxury, the ground clearance is generous enough to handle typical regional obstacles like speed humps and minor trail undulations. The combination of its 1.5-liter range extender and a large battery pack means you can enjoy the dynamics of a sports SUV with the peace of mind that you will never be stranded without power.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in modern executive transport, specifically optimized for the 6-seat VIP layout. The highlight is undoubtedly the second-row captain chairs, which offer reclining functions and dedicated climate zones, perfect for children or business associates on long drives. The air conditioning system is engineered to cope with the toughest summer heat, featuring powerful blowers and multiple vents specifically positioned to circulate air effectively throughout the rear rows. High-quality materials cover nearly every surface, and the minimalist dashboard is dominated by large, high-resolution screens that handle all infotainment and navigation duties. Sound insulation has been a clear priority, keeping the cabin remarkably quiet even when the range extender is running at highway speeds. For families in the GCC, the ability to seat six comfortably while still maintaining usable cargo space makes this SUV an ideal daily driver.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the design of this SUV, utilizing a suite of sensors to provide a comprehensive protective shield for all six occupants. The standard ADAS package is one of the most advanced in the industry, featuring high-accuracy adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance which are invaluable for the long, straight highways between major GCC cities. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts provide essential help in the dense, fast-moving traffic of urban centers like Abu Dhabi. The vehicle is also equipped with a 360-degree camera system that makes parking this large SUV in tight mall spaces remarkably simple. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis designed to meet global safety standards provide peace of mind for family buyers. Furthermore, the intelligent stability control is calibrated to handle various conditions, ensuring the vehicle remains composed even during the rare but heavy rainstorms seen in the region.

The bottom line

This 2026 VIP model is the perfect choice for an early adopter who wants the prestige of a high-performance luxury SUV with the efficiency and tax-benefits of a range-extended electric powertrain. Given its brand-new status and top-tier specifications, it stands as one of the best value-for-money upscale family cruisers available in the current GCC market.
