Summary

This 2026 Hilux GR Sport represents the peak of Toyota’s lifestyle pickup range, combining the legendary durability of the 4.0-litre V6 with performance-focused upgrades. As a brand-new model in the classic black exterior, it offers excellent resale potential in the GCC market where high-output petrol engines remain the preferred choice for both desert weekends and highway stability. The GR Sport trim distinguishes itself with a wider body stance and a specialized monotube suspension system that handles the region's diverse terrain better than any standard workhorse. Choosing a GCC-spec Hilux ensures you benefit from the most robust cooling systems and the strongest parts availability across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It is the ultimate choice for those who need a truck that is as capable at a weekend campsite as it is reliable for the daily urban commute.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiluxes

As a brand-new 2026 model, this vehicle sits at the very beginning of its lifecycle, offering the maximum possible mechanical longevity in the GCC market. While many Hiluxes in the region quickly accumulate high mileage due to long-distance desert trips, this listing provides a pristine starting point for a new owner. The Attitude Black exterior is a high-demand color in the local used market, typically commanding faster sales and stronger value retention than niche colors.

GR SPORT vs Lower Trims

The GR Sport adds significant mechanical and aesthetic value over the Adventure and SR5 trims, most notably the exclusive high-performance Monotube GR-Sport Suspension for superior handling. It features a unique wide-body design with black over-fenders and a signature GR grille that provides a far more aggressive road presence. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with suede and leather sport seats, red contrast stitching, and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor which is essential for navigating tight parking and off-road obstacles.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux leads its primary rivals, the Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi L200, by offering a larger-displacement 4.0L V6 engine that provides smoother power delivery for long GCC highway drives. Its 80-litre fuel tank ensures superior range between stops on cross-country trips compared to smaller-capacity competitors. Furthermore, the Toyota’s massive regional presence ensures that service centers and spare parts are significantly more accessible in remote areas of the GCC than those of its American or European rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 petrol engine is engineered for the high-sulfur fuel and extreme heat common in the GCC, typically requiring service every 10,000 km, though 5,000 km intervals are recommended for frequent desert use. Fuel consumption averages between 10-12 L/100km depending on payload and terrain, which is competitive for a large-displacement 6-cylinder truck. Toyota Hilux models consistently record the lowest depreciation rates in the UAE pickup segment, often retaining over 80% of their value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

With 235 horsepower and 376 Nm of torque, this V6 powertrain provides the effortless overtaking ability required for fast-moving UAE motorways. The 286 mm ground clearance and part-time 4WD system with a rear differential lock make it exceptionally capable in soft sand and rocky wadis. The 6-speed automatic transmission includes paddle shifters, allowing for manual control when navigating steep dunes or managing heavy loads.

Comfort & Cabin

The GR Sport cabin is designed to stay cool in 45°C+ temperatures, featuring a high-output dual-zone automatic climate control system and dedicated rear AC vents. The 5-seat layout utilizes premium suede and leather materials that resist heat better than full leather during the summer months. Tech highlights include an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration and a premium digital rearview mirror that ensures visibility even when the bed is fully loaded.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the GR Sport trim includes a 360-degree camera system, which provides a bird's-eye view for safe maneuvering in urban environments. It features a comprehensive airbag system and active safety tech like Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), both of which are vital for maintaining composure on loose sand and steep inclines. The inclusion of a factory-fitted engine immobilizer and security alarm adds peace of mind for owners across the region.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants a rugged 4x4 with the highest possible resale security and a sportier driving edge, this brand-new V6 GR Sport is the definitive choice.
