2018 Lamborghini Huracan lineup to expand

Taking over from the outgoing “entry-level” Gallardo two years ago, Lamborghini Huracan’s have found themselves posted all over bedroom walls, desktops and other picturesque locations. It can be quite a task to pick the right one as there are five models to choose from, and it’s only going to get harder as another variant joins the mix.

The Huracan’s lineup already consists of five vehicles including one with a roof, one without a roof, one you can’t legally drive on the roads, one with rear wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive and one limited edition of which 250 models exist. With those out of the way, we can move on to the sixth example.

Spotted for the second time, this time at the infamous Nordschleife, those who spotted the beast making the rounds said it sounds a lot more menacing than standard models. With its deep growl it’ll bear one of two badges when it arrives, either Superleggera or Super Veloce (SV). The first one is more plausible as SV is usually tacked onto Lamborghini’s with 12 cylinders and sit at the very top.

As for looks, test mules were caught dressed exactly the same way as the standard version with one exception, dummy exhaust tips. Rumour has it that the exhaust tips have moved from a two piece setup at each corner of the rear diffuser to a more central corner further towards the spoiler. It’s also claimed to be lighter, have a more refined chassis and faster gearshifts.

Specifications are non-existent as of now, however, an expected boost from the 610 horsepower that is generated with additional torque figures.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt, as it’s still in development. It could end up having deeper cuts, wider tires, larger spoilers and splitters.

It’s unknown when exactly we’ll get to see a production model of this raging bull, hopefully, by the end of the year we’ll get a glimpse.
