New INEOS Grenadier Ghaf Edition Launched In UAE: Only 7 Made

INEOS Automotive and AGMC have launched the Grenadier Ghaf Edition in the UAE, a special edition inspired by the Ghaf tree, the UAE’s national tree.

The model was revealed at the historic Al-Maqta’a Museum in Abu Dhabi and is limited to just seven vehicles. Each one has been specially commissioned with unique elements created in collaboration with Abu Dhabi-based designer Fawaz Khalid, founder of FWZ Designs.

The Ghaf Edition keeps the same engine, gearbox and core mechanical setup as the standard Grenadier. The changes mainly focus on its design, materials and protective finishes.

The Story Behind The Ghaf Edition

The project drew inspiration from a historic Ghaf tree motif at Al-Maqta’a Museum in Abu Dhabi. The same motif also appears on a rifle associated with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed the First.

Emirati entrepreneur Hanadi Al Fahim, author of The Little Ghaf Tree, also contributed to the project’s story. She has previously supported efforts to protect the Ghaf tree and promote its conservation in the UAE.

The Ghaf is well known for its ability to survive harsh desert conditions and has long been associated with resilience, endurance, tolerance and coexistence.

What Is Different On The INEOS Grenadier Ghaf Edition?

• One of the main changes is Gurcoat protection on selected exterior trim. The protective coating is designed to help guard body panels against deep rock chips, heavy debris, abrasion and UV exposure.
• The bonnet also features a distinctive engineered wood element engraved with a pattern inspired by the roots of the Ghaf tree.
• The roof and wheels are finished in Desert Brown, adding another visual link to the UAE landscape. At the rear, the vehicle features a Ghaf tree emblem, while additional protection has also been added underneath the vehicle.
• These upgrades give the special edition a more distinctive look while retaining the standard Grenadier’s rugged design and functionality.

What Has Changed Inside?

The Ghaf theme continues inside the cabin. The interior receives a revised colour scheme with green stitching and Ghaf-inspired detailing. Treated wood elements also reflect the appearance and character of the Ghaf tree. Each vehicle also features “1 of 7” identification, highlighting the very limited production run.

Engine & Performance

Mechanically, the Ghaf Edition remains unchanged from the standard petrol-powered INEOS Grenadier. It uses a 3.0-litre BMW B58 turbocharged straight-six petrol engine producing around 282hp and 450Nm.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox and a permanent four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case and lockable centre differential.

The Grenadier accelerates from 0–100km/h in 8.8 seconds and has a top speed of 160km/h. It also offers 264mm of ground clearance, an 800mm wading depth and a towing capacity of up to 3,500kg.

A Special Grenadier For The UAE

The INEOS Grenadier Ghaf Edition combines the standard model’s off-road-focused engineering with design elements inspired by Emirati heritage and the UAE’s national tree.

With just seven vehicles commissioned, unique Ghaf-inspired details and input from UAE-based creative talent, the Ghaf Edition stands out as one of the most exclusive versions of the Grenadier.
