Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 vs LC300: Which Should You Buy In The UAE?

The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 replaced the LC200 in 2021, ending a generation that had been on sale for almost 14 years. In the UAE, however, the LC200 remains a strong used-car option.

Toyota retained the core Land Cruiser formula with the LC300. It still uses a ladder-frame chassis, full-time four-wheel drive, and a 2,850mm wheelbase. However, the newer generation is lighter and uses a stiffer GA-F platform.

Price: The LC200 Costs Much Less

A new 2026 Land Cruiser LC300 starts at around AED 239,900 in the UAE with the 4.0-litre engine.

The more desirable 3.5-litre twin-turbo versions cost considerably more, with GXR, VXR and GR Sport versions moving well beyond AED 300,000.

Used LC200 prices are significantly lower. Late examples can start around AED 120,000, while clean V8 versions command more depending on mileage, specification, and condition.

The flagship LC200 uses a 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing:

The LC300 replaces it with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 producing:
