Did you know: 2020 Toyota FJ Cruiser only sold in five countries

For the majority of the world, the retro-inspired FJ Cruiser was discontinued in 2014. Then in 2017, the remaining countries dropped the SUV from their lineup. To date, only four countries are officially selling the 2020 Toyota FJ Cruiser – Chile, Columbia, South Africa, the Philippines and the UAE.

First debuting in 2006, the FJ Cruiser has reminded relativity unchanged though out its 14-year life cycle. With a few minor changes along the way, the FJ Cruiser has never had a second generation.

The latest update to the model included Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support to go along with an updated infotainment system, upgraded audio system and built-in air compressor.

Continuing to power the FJ Cruiser is a 4-litre V6 engine producing 270hp and 380 Nm of torque. 4WD is standard, and customers can choose between a five-speed auto box with a transfer case or a six-speed manual with a Torsen-style centre differential.

An optional second fuel tank is available.

In order to commemorate the discontinuation of the model, in select countries, Toyota released the “Final Edition” FJ Cruiser.

Japanese versions were finished in beige with a beige interior.
