Aston Martin Valen Revealed—Most Powerful Front-Engined Production Car By Aston

Aston Martin has revealed the new Valen, a limited-production V12 supercar created by its Q by Aston Martin bespoke division. Limited to just 150 units worldwide, it becomes the most powerful front-engined Aston Martin in the brand’s 113-year history.

The Valen uses an uprated 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 producing 838hp and 1,000Nm. Aston Martin claims a 0–97km/h time of 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 344km/h. The new special also brings extensive weight reduction, revised chassis tuning and unique carbon-fibre bodywork.

What Is The New Aston Martin Valen?

The Valen is the latest limited-run model from Q by Aston Martin, following specials such as the Valour, Valiant and DBR22. Its name comes from the Latin word valens, meaning strong or powerful, and continues Aston Martin’s tradition of using names beginning with the letter V for some of its performance models.

Development was carried out with Aston Martin’s newly formed Special Vehicle Operations department. The focus was not simply on increasing power, but also reducing weight and giving the car a sharper driving character than the company’s existing V12 platform.

What Engine Powers The Aston Martin Valen?

Power comes from Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12, tuned to produce 838hp and 1,000Nm of torque, with maximum torque available from 2,500rpm.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Aston Martin has introduced quicker gearshift strategies developed using experience from its Vantage GT4 racing programme.

Three driving modes are available: Sport, Sport+ and Track. Throttle mapping also changes between modes, with Sport and Sport+ delivering a quicker initial response while Track uses a more progressive setup for improved control.

How Much Lighter Is The Aston Martin Valen?

Weight reduction is one of the biggest changes made to the Valen. Aston Martin says the car can be up to 110kg lighter than its existing core V12 platform.

Carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium are used across the vehicle. Magnesium wheels come standard, reducing unsprung mass and improving steering response.

An optional lightweight package saves a further 16.9kg through components including machined aluminium suspension arms, aluminium knuckles and titanium chassis bolts.

The Valen uses specially developed Pirelli P Zero R tyres measuring 275/35 ZR21 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear. Pirelli Cyber Tyre technology can also send live tyre data to systems including the ABS, traction control and stability control.

What Chassis Changes Does The Valen Get?

Aston Martin has extensively recalibrated the suspension, steering, stability control and braking systems.

The Valen features a solid-mounted rear subframe, model-specific springs, helper springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers. Steering calibration has also been revised to make the car respond more quickly to driver inputs.

Carbon-ceramic brakes measuring 410mm at the front and 360mm at the rear handle stopping duties. Aston Martin says the setup has been developed to reduce roll and pitch while retaining enough ride comfort for longer road journeys.

What Makes The Valen’s Exhaust Different?

A lightweight titanium exhaust system has been created specifically for the Valen. The quad-exit setup uses two upper and two lower tailpipes. The upper outlets remain open at all times, while valves control the lower pair depending on the selected driving mode.

The exhaust finishers themselves are made from 3D-printed titanium. Aston Martin has tuned the system to reduce some lower frequencies while increasing higher tones as engine speed builds. The aim is to give the V12 a more aggressive sound at higher revs while also reducing weight.

What Is Different About The Aston Martin Valen’s Design?

The Valen receives completely bespoke carbon-fibre bodywork. Its front end features deeply recessed slim headlights, a more angular grille, large cooling openings and a prominent front splitter. Functional vents behind the front wheels help extract air from the wheel arches.

Along the sides, stepped sills and vortex generators manage airflow, while the rear receives one of the car’s most unusual changes.

A conventional rear window and boot lid have been replaced by a solid tailgate incorporating an aerodynamic wing. A full-width light bar sits underneath, while a large diffuser surrounds the four exhaust outlets.

Despite the performance focus, the Valen still provides 170 litres of luggage capacity. Aston Martin will also offer an optional Touring Pack with bespoke luggage.

What Is New Inside The Aston Martin Valen?

The cabin follows the same lightweight approach as the exterior. A new slim centre console uses 3D-printed components and incorporates a performance switch panel derived from the Aston Martin Valhalla. The touchscreen is positioned at a greater angle towards the driver.

Customers can choose between Sports Plus seats designed for road use or lighter carbon-fibre performance seats.

Q by Aston Martin will offer extensive customisation including Semi-Aniline leather, Alcantara, different upholstery layouts, exposed carbon fibre and several anodised finishes.

Customers can also specify exposed exterior carbon fibre in gloss or satin finishes, with different colour tints available through the Q personalisation programme.

How Many Aston Martin Valens Will Be Made?

Production of the Aston Martin Valen will be strictly limited to 150 cars worldwide. First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q2 2027. Aston Martin has not announced pricing for the Valen or confirmed individual market allocations. Given the extremely limited production run, availability in markets such as the UAE is expected to depend on customer allocation through Aston Martin.

The Valen takes Aston Martin’s familiar V12 formula and pushes it further with more power, significant weight reduction and a much more aggressive design.
