2025 GAC Hyptec HT Launched In The UAE: Prices Start At AED 177,900

GAC Motor, in partnership with Gargash Motors, has launched its new premium electric brand, Hyptec, in the UAE. The event took place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, marking a major step in the brand’s regional expansion.

The event saw the official launch of the Hyptec HT, a fully electric SUV designed for modern urban living. GAC also showcased the Hyptec SSR – a bold, all-electric supercar. While not launched yet, the SSR’s appearance gave a glimpse of Hyptec’s performance ambitions and its future product direction.

The event also featured the UAE launch of the Aion ES electric sedan, further strengthening GAC’s growing electric lineup. This article, however, focuses on the newly introduced Hyptec models.

GAC Hyptec HT Price, Colour, & Variants

The new GAC Hyptec HT electric SUV is offered in two variants that are strangely differentiated by looks and not by specifications.

• Hyptec HT Premium: AED 177,900
• Hyptec HT Ultra (Gull-Wing): AED 189,900

Bookings for the new GAC Hyptec HT have begun, and deliveries are said to be underway. Customers can choose from seven exterior colour options and two interior colour options, depending on the variant.

Exterior Design

The Hyptec HT features a bold and futuristic exterior design that sets it apart in the electric SUV segment. At the front, it carries a closed-off grille flanked by sharp LED headlights with darkened, diamond-cut elements, giving it a high-tech, confident look. The body showcases a coupe-like silhouette with smooth curves, muscular wheel arches, and pop-out door handles that enhance both aerodynamics and style. 

A key design feature is the availability of rear gull-wing doors on select variants, adding a dramatic visual touch and improved rear-seat access. However, this feature is variant-specific, and a more conventional version without gull-wing doors is also offered in the UAE. At the rear, the HT gets a full-width LED taillight bar, a sporty roof spoiler, and a sculpted bumper with integrated fog lights, all combining to create a wide, athletic stance.

Interiors

The wide cabin and flat floor design contribute to a roomy feel, especially in the rear. Storage compartments are smartly integrated throughout the cabin, including a large central armrest, door pockets, and under-console space. The materials and trim finishes reflect a refined aesthetic, giving the cabin an upscale feel without being overly flashy.

Warranty

GAC is offering an 8-year warranty on the Hyptec HT’s battery pack, providing strong reassurance for long-term electric vehicle ownership. While the vehicle warranty has not been officially confirmed, it is expected to be 5 years, aligning with industry standards and similar offerings from the brand in other markets.

The new GAC Hyptec HT rivals the Tesla Model Y, BYD Sealion 7, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and the Nissan Ariya, among others. The Hyptec HT has serious competition from its established rivals in the UAE. 

GAC Hyptec SSR

The GAC Hyptec SSR is an all-electric supercar that blends extreme performance with striking design. It delivers a massive 1,224hp and 1,230Nm of torque, enabling the Sprint and Ultimate variants to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds, while the standard variant does it in 2.3 seconds. 

Depending on the variant, it comes with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, powered by three electric motors—one at the front and two at the rear—paired with a two-speed gearbox. Built on a lightweight aluminium frame with a full carbon fibre body, the SSR weighs 1,990 kg and features double wishbone suspension at both ends, carbon-ceramic brakes, and active aerodynamics including a rear spoiler that adds 100 kg of downforce. 

The 74.69 kWh ternary lithium battery offers a range of up to 506 km (CLTC) and is supported by a 900V high-voltage system for fast charging. Designed by Pontus Fontaeus, the SSR is available in three variants with pricing in China starting from ¥1,286,000 (approx. AED 650,400). Though not yet launched in the UAE, the SSR is expected to enter regional markets soon.
