Summary

This 2007 Yukon SLT offers a compelling balance of classic American V8 power and long-distance comfort, featuring the reliable 5.3-litre Vortec engine. With mileage at 123,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market for its age. The Beige exterior is a practical choice for the region, reflecting heat effectively and maintaining strong resale appeal. As a premium SLT trim, it bridges the gap between the workhorse base models and the luxury Denali, providing essential family features with proven body-on-frame durability. For a GCC buyer, the combination of a well-preserved interior and a robust drivetrain makes this a versatile choice for both urban family duties and cross-border highway cruising.

This Car vs Other 2007 Yukons

At 123,000 km, this Yukon sits well below the average mileage expected for a 2007 model in the UAE, which often exceeds 350,000 km. The Beige exterior is one of the most resilient colors for the local climate, helping the paintwork withstand intense UV exposure better than darker shades. This lower-than-average usage suggests significantly less wear on the suspension and cooling systems, providing a clear mechanical advantage.

SLT vs Lower Trims

The SLT trim is a significant step up from the base SLE, adding premium leather-appointed seating and a superior 9-speaker Bose audio system. It also introduces essential convenience features like dual-zone automatic climate control and power-adjustable pedals, which are highly valued by drivers in the GCC for long-distance highway comfort. Unlike the SLE, the SLT often includes heated front seats and upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.

Yukon vs Segment Rivals

The Yukon leads its segment in cabin quietness and ride refinement thanks to its coil-over-shock front suspension, often outclassing the older Ford Expedition's road manners. Its 98-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long desert highway drives compared to many mid-size crossovers. Against the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Yukon offers a more car-like interior layout and a higher standard towing capacity for its price point.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.3L V8 typically averages around 14.7L/100km, though the Active Fuel Management system helps improve efficiency during steady highway cruising between emirates. As an American-spec vehicle, owners should verify service compatibility at local centers, though the wide availability of GMC parts in the UAE makes maintenance straightforward. The Yukon maintains a stable depreciation rate in the GCC, especially for well-kept V8 examples which remain in high demand for family transport.

Performance & Capability

The 320 hp V8 delivers a towing capacity of up to 3,492 kg, making it ideal for hauling boats or trailers across the UAE. The All-Wheel Drive system provides confident traction on gravel tracks and during occasional rainy spells, while the 460 Nm of torque ensures smooth overtaking on high-speed highways. Its body-on-frame construction offers the structural integrity required for heavy-duty family use and light off-road weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

This Yukon features a 7-seat configuration with ample legroom across the first two rows, perfect for large families. The powerful air conditioning system is designed to handle high cabin volumes, with dedicated rear vents ensuring all passengers stay cool during peak summer months. Cabin insulation is a standout feature, effectively muting road and wind noise even at highway speeds of 120 km/h.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes StabiliTrak stability control with Proactive Roll Avoidance, which is vital for maintaining composure on fast-moving multi-lane highways. It is equipped with dual-stage frontal airbags and head-curtain side airbags for all seating rows. The tire pressure monitoring system provides peace of mind during long desert drives where heat-induced pressure changes are common.

The bottom line

This Yukon is an excellent opportunity for a family seeking a low-mileage V8 workhorse that offers more luxury than a base SUV without the premium price of a Denali.
