Summary

This 2015 Nissan Murano SL offers a compelling balance of near-luxury features and Japanese reliability that continues to hold high appeal in the GCC used market. While its mileage is typical for its age in this region, the white exterior provides a significant advantage for resale and heat management. As a redesigned third-generation model, it stands out with a 'social lounge' interior that prioritises passenger comfort over rugged utility. For the GCC buyer, the combination of a smooth V6 engine and a strong local parts network makes this a low-risk, high-comfort family crossover. It remains a stylish alternative to more generic SUVs, perfectly suited for both city commuting and long-distance highway cruising.

This Car vs Other 2015 Muranos

With 152,000 km on the odometer, this Murano has averaged approximately 17,000 km per year, which is notably lower than the 20,000–25,000 km GCC average. This lower-than-average usage for a decade-old vehicle suggests it has seen less highway wear than many of its counterparts. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring the strongest possible resale value and better cabin temperature control during summer.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim is a significant step up from the S and SV, adding high-value features that are essential for the local climate and driving habits. It includes leather-appointed seating, a 360-degree Around View Monitor for easier parking, and a premium 11-speaker Bose audio system. Crucially for the GCC, it also features Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, systems that are invaluable on fast-moving multi-lane highways like the E11.

Murano vs Segment Rivals

The Murano is often cross-shopped with the Ford Edge and Honda Pilot, but it leads in cabin aesthetics and ride refinement. Unlike many rivals that use a more utilitarian interior, the Murano’s 'Zero Gravity' seats are specifically designed to reduce fatigue on long desert drives between cities. Its 82-litre fuel tank provides a generous range, making it a superior choice for cross-border trips or long-distance commuting.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 typically returns about 10.9 L/100km on a combined cycle, though GCC city traffic may see this rise. Nissan’s service network is one of the most established in the region, with authorised centers readily available in every major city across the UAE, KSA, and Oman. As a Japanese brand, it enjoys a slower depreciation rate than European rivals, typically losing about 8-10% annually compared to 15% or more for similar luxury crossovers.

Performance & Capability

Powered by the reliable VQ35 engine, this Murano delivers 200 hp (regional spec) and a smooth 0-100 km/h time of 8.0 seconds. The Four Wheel Drive system is an 'Intuitive' setup, designed for on-road stability and confidence on gravel or rain-slicked surfaces rather than heavy dune bashing. It offers a refined highway experience with ample passing power for the 120-140 km/h speed limits common across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is focused on high-end comfort, featuring dual-zone automatic climate control with dedicated rear vents to ensure all five passengers stay cool in 45°C+ temperatures. Acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during high-speed cruising, creating a quiet environment to enjoy the Bose sound system. The SL trim’s leather interior is durable and easy to maintain, making it ideal for family use.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the SL trim, which includes a comprehensive suite of active systems such as Blind Spot Warning and the Around View Monitor. These are complemented by a robust airbag system and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS for this generation. The Forward Collision Warning and Moving Object Detection provide an extra layer of security in busy urban environments like Downtown Dubai or Riyadh.

The bottom line

Perfect for a style-conscious family or executive who wants a premium cabin experience without the high maintenance costs of a European badge. This GCC-spec Murano is a rare find in this condition and color, representing a smart, stable investment for long-term ownership.
