• Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) standard
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2010 Honda Accord EXI represents a high-spec entry into one of the region's most trusted sedan lineages, pairing a robust 3.5-liter V6 with a smooth automatic transmission. While most Accords on the market utilize the smaller 4-cylinder engine, this V6 variant offers significantly better highway overtaking performance and refined cruising for long UAE commutes. Its black exterior remains a top-tier choice for resale value in the GCC, and the 204,000 km mileage is typical for a well-maintained Japanese sedan of this vintage. With a reputation for cooling efficiency and mechanical longevity, it remains a standout choice for buyers prioritizing durability in extreme heat. For a GCC owner, the accessibility of affordable parts and widespread specialist knowledge across the Emirates ensures low-stress long-term ownership.

This Car vs Other 2010 Accords

With 204,000 km on the odometer, this Accord sits at a standard mileage for its age in the GCC, where annual averages frequently reach 25,000 km. Most comparable listings feature the 2.4-liter engine; this 3.5-liter V6 provides a more executive driving experience without sacrificing the model's legendary reliability. The black paintwork is a highly sought-after resale color in local markets, ensuring better value retention compared to less conventional shades.

EXI vs Lower Trims

The EXI trim significantly elevates the cabin experience over the base LX and middle-spec trims by introducing the 271 hp V6 engine as standard. It typically adds premium features like a power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control for better cabin cooling, and upgraded alloy wheels. These enhancements are specifically valued by GCC buyers who want the simplicity of a Honda but the comfort of a more premium sedan.

Accord vs Segment Rivals

The Accord competes directly with the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, leading the segment with a 70-liter fuel tank that is ideal for long-distance driving between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its V6 engine utilizes Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) to deactivate cylinders during highway cruising, offering a better balance of power and efficiency than many older V6 rivals. Furthermore, Honda's interior build quality from this generation is widely considered more resistant to the harsh GCC sun than several competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5-liter V6 typically averages around 10.0 L/100km, with highway efficiency reaching approximately 7.3 L/100km on long stretches like the E11. Honda remains one of the strongest brands for value retention in the UAE, trailing only Toyota in its ability to hold price over time. Maintenance is straightforward, with a vast network of authorized and specialist service centers available across all seven Emirates and neighboring GCC countries.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 engine delivers a verified 0-100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds, making it one of the quickest naturally aspirated sedans in its class for the 2010 model year. This power translates to effortless high-speed stability and confidence when merging into fast-moving highway traffic. The 5-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring the car feels composed even when the dual-zone AC is working at maximum capacity during peak summer months.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five adult passengers, featuring generous legroom that rivals larger executive sedans. GCC-specific comfort is handled by a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool in temperatures exceeding 45°C. The EXI trim provides a quiet ride thanks to Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, which helps isolate the interior from road and wind noise during cross-country trips.

Safety

This Accord comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). It also features Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Traction Control, which provides essential grip management on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces. The structure is built with Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE), which was highly rated for crash safety during its production run.

The bottom line

This V6 Accord is the ideal opportunity for a commuter seeking premium power and Japanese reliability at a competitive entry point in the UAE market.
