Summary

This Jaguar XKR stands out as a rare find in the GCC market, combining exceptionally low mileage with the peak performance of the 5.0-litre supercharged era. Its black exterior is a perennial favorite in the region, ensuring strong resale demand and a timeless aesthetic on the road. While the standard XK offers grand touring comfort, this supercharged variant brings supercar-level acceleration that remains competitive with modern performance cars. With only 32,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical GCC annual average, making it a prime candidate for a collector or an enthusiast seeking a like-new driving experience. The most critical consideration for a local buyer is the cooling system's health, which in this low-mileage example, provides a reliable foundation for the UAE’s demanding summer temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2011 XKRs

With just 32,000 km on the odometer, this XKR has covered roughly 2,500 km per year, far below the GCC average of 20,000 km. Most examples from this era have surpassed the 100,000 km mark, making this a distinct buying advantage for mechanical longevity. The black-on-black color combination remains one of the most liquid and desirable specs for resale in the UAE and wider GCC market.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The XKR sits significantly above the base XK, replacing the naturally aspirated engine with a 510 hp supercharged V8 and adding an active electronic differential for superior high-speed cornering. Standard equipment on this trim includes the 525-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound system and 20-inch alloy wheels, features that GCC buyers prioritize for both cabin experience and exterior presence. It also features uprated springs and dampers, providing a sharper handling profile than the entry-level grand tourer.

XKR vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Maserati GranTurismo and the BMW 650i, the XKR leads with its lightweight all-aluminium chassis, which provides a more agile power-to-weight ratio. Its 5.0-litre supercharged engine delivers a more immediate torque response than its naturally aspirated rivals, essential for quick highway overtaking in fast-moving GCC traffic. The interior offers a more traditional British luxury feel, utilizing higher-grade veneers and leathers than typical German competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 12.3 L/100km combined, though GCC city driving in stop-start traffic may see this rise toward 18.9 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 16,000 km or 12 months, with Al Tayer Motors and various specialists providing excellent support across the UAE. While European luxury coupes typically depreciate by 12-15% annually, this specific car's low mileage serves as a significant hedge against standard market depreciation, retaining a premium over high-mileage examples.

Performance & Capability

The supercharged V8 propels this coupe from 0–100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Its 625 Nm of torque ensures effortless acceleration, making long-distance drives between emirates remarkably comfortable. The six-speed automatic transmission features paddle shifters for manual control, and the Active Differential Control optimizes traction on both highway asphalt and dust-dusted surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 2+2 layout featuring 16-way adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a vital feature for maintaining comfort during the intense GCC summer. The dual-zone climate control is engineered to manage high ambient temperatures, supported by a well-insulated cabin that minimizes road and wind noise. The touchscreen interface controls the navigation and premium audio, while the leather-trimmed dash provides a high-quality tactile experience for daily commuting.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of active systems including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Emergency Brake Assist, which are particularly effective during rare desert rain or on sandy highway shoulders. The XKR features front and side airbags, along with an active pop-up bonnet system for pedestrian safety. Standard rear parking sensors and an intuitive cruise control system make it well-suited for both tight urban parking in Dubai and long-distance desert cruises.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a supercharged icon, this 32,000 km GCC-spec Jaguar XKR offers a nearly unique opportunity to own a peak-era Jag in showroom condition. It is the ideal choice for an enthusiast who values the prestige of a supercharged V8 without the high-mileage risks typical of 2011 models.
