Using similar to the mechanics of the S-Type, Jaguar's brand new model enters its first generation with time relevant styling, bold headlights and an array of features to rival the very best.
XF models are available in a wide selection of trim including SE, Luxury, Premium Luxury, Portfolio, SV8 and R. All offer their very own unique features to the table. In 2011, the XF received a minor refresh which includes front and back styling cues from the Jaguar C-XF concept car. Adaptive cruise control and new interior trim were added to the list of options.
2012 saw the introduction of the Sportbrake model or estate body style. These models not only hold a larger capacity of goods but increase rear headroom buy 48 mm. Rear seats can be folded remotely, and roof rails are attached on top.
XFR-S models joined the lineup in 2012 as a hardcore version of the already potent R version. With outputs ranging from 238 to 416 horsepower, the engines are all controlled by a six-speed automatic in GCC trim. Towards the end of the life cycle, a six-speed manual transmission was added.
Overseas, many other engine options are available including a 5-litre supercharged V8, and even an inline four-cylinder turbocharged not to mention another supercharged 3-litre as well. All-wheel drive is available in select regions instead of the rear-wheel drive train.

2015 and 2016 Jaguar XF in Dubai, UAE
In its second generation, the XK is the first Jaguar to receive LED headlights, now utilises aluminium to make it 190 kilos lighter and is 7mm shorter than the previous generation. One clear distinction is the headlights that no longer feature the round centre light and instead they are redesigned with a sleeker look.
All trim levels and options remain identical to the previous generations. There is a selection of new options including an enhanced premium sound system with and 30 GB internal storage device.
Much like other manufacturers, Jaguar introduced a long-wheelbase version of their sedan with this one known as the XFL. 140 mm is added to the wheelbase giving rear passengers an extra leg and knee room. Available in select countries, these models are equipped with Clear Exit Detection, a built-in air ionisation system, folding tables, massaging seats, electric window blinds, 10.2-inch touchscreen display and 12.3-inch digital dashboard.
Gone is the 4.2-litre V8 motor. In its wake is a selection of three motors, a 2-litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol motor; 3-litre supercharged V6 and a mighty 5-litre V8. All are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, with horsepower figures ranging from 240 to 510 horsepower.
Rear-wheel drive is standard across the world with select regions receiving all-wheel drive trains.
