Summary

This 2013 Nissan Pathfinder SV represents a durable family workhorse that has successfully transitioned from its off-road roots to a more refined, road-biased crossover. With 268,000 km, this vehicle has been a consistent high-mileage performer, a common trait for Japanese SUVs in the GCC that are frequently used for inter-emirate highway commutes. Its black exterior remains a staple in the local market, ensuring steady demand and predictable resale value. For the GCC buyer, the most significant advantage is the combination of a fuel-efficient V6 and a unibody construction that offers superior ride comfort compared to traditional body-on-frame rivals. Nissan's ubiquitous presence across the region ensures that maintenance and parts remain accessible and affordable even as the vehicle matures.

This Car vs Other 2013 Pathfinders

While the 268,000 km mileage is higher than the global average, it aligns with typical long-distance highway usage found in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The black exterior is one of the most sought-after colors for this model in the region, helping it maintain a competitive edge in the used market. This GCC-spec example benefits from cooling systems designed for local heat, unlike imported American-spec versions.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant step up from the base S model, introducing essential GCC features like a rearview monitor and rear sonar system for easier parking. It also adds a smart key with push-button start, an 8-way power driver's seat, and automatic on/off headlights. These convenience features are highly valued by local buyers and contribute to a more premium daily driving experience.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

The Pathfinder competes directly with the Honda Pilot and Ford Explorer, leading the segment with its class-exclusive selectable 4x4-i system that allows drivers to switch between 2WD and 4WD Lock. It also offers the EZ Flex seating system, which provides easier third-row access than most rivals. Its unibody design delivers a car-like ride quality that is often preferred over the stiffer suspension found in traditional 4x4s.

Running Costs & Resale

With a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 9.5 L/100km, the Pathfinder is efficient for a 7-seater V6. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across all GCC countries, including remote areas, which keeps long-term maintenance costs low. As a Japanese-built SUV, it retains value exceptionally well, typically depreciating at a lower annual rate than its American or European counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 produces 254 hp and 326 Nm of torque, allowing for smooth highway overtaking and a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 8 seconds. It features a verified 2,268 kg braked towing capacity, making it capable of hauling trailers or jet skis for weekend trips. The All-Mode 4x4-i system ensures stability on gravel tracks and during rainy conditions on fast-moving highways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for large families, featuring seven seats and a tri-zone automatic climate control system with dedicated rear vents to combat extreme summer temperatures. Its interior volume is among the best in its class, ensuring even the third row is usable for teenagers. High-quality insulation helps maintain a quiet environment during long cross-country drives between emirates.

Safety

This Pathfinder comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), and Traction Control as standard. The SV trim's inclusion of a rearview camera and rear parking sensors provides crucial assistance in tight city parking. The 4-wheel ABS and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) offer reliable stopping power on diverse GCC road surfaces, from sand-dusted asphalt to wet highways.

The bottom line

Perfect for a growing family seeking a reliable and well-supported SUV, this Pathfinder offers high-end SV features and proven Nissan durability at a value-driven price point.
