Summary

This 2014 Aston Martin Vantage is a standout example of the VH-generation, offering a purist grand touring experience with a hand-assembled naturally aspirated V8. With 51,000 km, the mileage is exceptionally low for a 12-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where the high-speed highway culture typically results in much higher annual use. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable, stable resale choice for the regional market, balancing elegance with practical heat management. While newer models have moved toward turbocharging, this naturally aspirated powertrain remains a favorite for collectors and enthusiasts across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. This specific listing represents a rare opportunity to own a modern classic that has been driven sparingly and maintained in regional specifications.

This Car vs Other 2014 Vantages

At just 51,000 km, this Vantage has covered less than half the distance of an average 12-year-old car in the GCC used market. Most examples from this era have surpassed the 100,000 km mark due to the long-distance nature of driving between major cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Grey finish further enhances its local value, as it is one of the top three strongest colors for resale retention in the region.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The 2014 Standard Vantage benefited from a significant technical refresh that brought it closer to the 'S' specification, including a quicker steering rack and a 7-speed Sportshift II transmission that eliminated the 'crawl' found in earlier models. It features high-grade full-grain leather upholstery and the updated 160-watt Aston Martin audio system as standard. These mechanical upgrades are highly valued by GCC buyers who prioritize a more modern and responsive driving feel on fast-moving highways.

Vantage vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Porsche 911 of the same era, the Vantage offers a more exclusive, hand-built character and a distinctive naturally aspirated V8 soundtrack that is increasingly rare. It leads the Jaguar F-Type in material quality and long-distance grand touring comfort, featuring an 80-litre fuel tank that is ideal for cross-border GCC road trips. The Vantage also provides a more analog and driver-focused experience than the technology-heavy Maserati GranTurismo.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages between 13.0 and 13.8 L/100km, though highway cruising between Emirates can see improved efficiency. The V8 engine requires premium 98-octane fuel to maintain performance in extreme summer temperatures. Authorized service is well-supported in the UAE through Al Habtoor Motors, with additional official centers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. While European exotics depreciate faster than Japanese luxury cars, GCC-spec Vantages with low mileage like this one show strong price stability as they approach collectible status.

Performance & Capability

The 4.7-litre V8 produces 420 hp, propelling the coupe from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 290 km/h. The rear-wheel-drive layout and mid-front engine mounting provide a 49:51 weight distribution, offering exceptional balance for high-speed cornering. This naturally aspirated setup is particularly reliable in the GCC climate, avoiding the heat soak issues sometimes associated with complex turbocharged systems during the summer months. The Sportshift II automatic transmission provides crisp shifts that are well-suited for both city traffic and spirited highway driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The strict two-seater cabin is finished in premium leather and features organic electroluminescent instrument gauges that remain legible even in the bright Middle Eastern sun. The air conditioning system is robust, designed to cool the compact cabin quickly even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. Practicality is aided by a 300-litre boot and a large rear luggage shelf, making it a capable companion for weekend escapes to Hatta or Jebel Jais. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation keep the interior refined, shielding occupants from road noise during long highway stints.

Safety

Standard safety features include four-piston monobloc calipers with ventilated discs, providing reliable stopping power for high-speed highway use. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system includes a dedicated Track mode, offering an extra layer of security on sandy or dusty road surfaces. Rear parking sensors are standard, assisting with visibility in tight urban parking environments. Dual-stage front airbags and side airbags provide essential occupant protection, while the rigid aluminum chassis serves as a high-strength safety cell.

The bottom line

For the GCC enthusiast seeking a hand-built British icon, this low-mileage, GCC-spec Vantage offers the perfect balance of naturally aspirated character and modern refinement. It is a rare find in this condition, representing a secure investment for a buyer who values provenance and timeless design.
