Summary

This 2014 Lexus LX570 Platinum represents the peak of Japanese luxury engineering, offering a level of durability and regional prestige that rivals simply cannot match. Finished in high-resale White, this GCC-spec example has covered 155,000 km, which is significantly below the typical usage for a vehicle of this age in the region. The Platinum trim is highly coveted in the UAE for its balance of off-road prowess and executive comfort. For a GCC buyer, this model stands out as a bulletproof investment that thrives in extreme heat while maintaining an imposing presence on the road. It remains the definitive choice for those who require a family workhorse that feels just as at home in the desert as it does at a five-star hotel.

This Car vs Other 2014 LX570s

With 155,000 km on the odometer, this LX570 has been driven approximately 15,500 km per year, which is remarkably low compared to the GCC average of 25,000 km for large SUVs. The White exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring the strongest possible resale value and superior heat reflection during summer months. Finding a GCC-spec Platinum trim with this mileage profile is a genuine advantage for long-term ownership.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim elevates the LX570 with essential GCC luxuries, including a 19-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system and a 360-degree camera system that is vital for maneuvering a vehicle of this size. Unlike lower trims, the Platinum includes ventilated front seats and a integrated cool box in the center console, features that transition from luxury to necessity during a Gulf summer. It also features a unique chrome-accented front grille and 20-inch wheels that distinguish it from the standard models.

LX570 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Range Rover Vogue, the Lexus leads significantly in long-term reliability and the density of its authorized service network across every GCC country. While the Cadillac Escalade offers more sheer length, the LX570’s dual-tank system—standard on GCC models—provides a combined 138-litre capacity, offering superior range for long-distance desert crossings or highway travel between emirates. Its mechanical durability in high-heat, high-dust environments remains the benchmark for the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The LX570 is famous for having one of the lowest depreciation rates in the UAE market, typically losing only 8-10% annually compared to 15% or more for European rivals. Fuel consumption averages approximately 14.8L/100km, and the 5.7L V8 is designed to run reliably on local fuel grades without the sensitivity of European turbocharged engines. Service is remarkably straightforward, with authorized centers like Al Futtaim in the UAE and Al Jameel in KSA providing widespread parts availability and expert care.

Performance & Capability

The 381 hp V8 engine delivers a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 7.8 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways. Its real strength lies in the sophisticated Active Height Control (AHC) suspension, which can increase ground clearance to 302 mm for off-road obstacles or lower it for easier entry. Equipped with Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control, this vehicle is a legitimate desert conqueror, capable of handling deep sand dunes with the same composure it shows on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of semi-aniline leather and wood trim, configured to seat eight passengers in total comfort. Four-zone independent climate control ensures that even third-row passengers receive powerful cooling, a critical feature for large families in the region. The acoustic glass and heavy insulation result in a whisper-quiet ride, isolating the interior from both road noise and the intense external heat common in the Gulf.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring 10 airbags and a robust suite of active technologies including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which are invaluable on busy multi-lane highways. The Pre-Collision System and Adaptive Cruise Control make long-distance desert drives significantly safer and less fatiguing. Lexus's stability control system is specifically tuned to manage the vehicle's mass on both paved roads and loose gravel or sand surfaces.

The bottom line

This is the ideal SUV for a GCC family who refuses to choose between desert capability and executive luxury, offering a rare low-mileage opportunity in the market's most resilient resale color.
