Nissan Pathfinder SV | GCC SPECS | 7-SEATER

Highlights

• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• Seven seats with flat-folding third row

Summary

This 2014 Nissan Pathfinder SV offers a balanced entry into the 7-seater SUV segment, specifically suited for GCC families who prioritize highway comfort over heavy off-roading. With 110,000 km on the odometer, the mileage is remarkably low for a 12-year-old vehicle in this region, where annual averages typically exceed 20,000 km. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the local climate, ensuring better heat reflection and maintaining the highest resale demand in the UAE and Saudi markets. As an SV trim, it provides essential tech upgrades like a rearview camera and proximity key that make daily school runs and mall trips significantly easier. For a buyer seeking a reliable Japanese workhorse with a car-like ride, this well-maintained example represents a smart value-driven alternative to more expensive body-on-frame rivals.

This Car vs Other 2014 Pathfinders

At 110,000 km, this vehicle has covered less than half the distance of a typical 12-year-old car in the GCC, which usually averages 240,000 km or more. This low usage translates to significantly less wear on the interior upholstery and suspension components. The white paint is a strategic advantage, as it is the most sought-after color for used SUVs in the region, ensuring faster liquidity when it is time to sell.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a major step up from the base S model, adding the Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button start and a 7-inch color multi-information display. Crucially for GCC drivers, it includes a RearView Monitor and rear sonar sensors to assist with parking in tight urban spaces. It also upgrades the cabin with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, providing a more premium feel during long cross-country drives.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

While the Toyota Prado leads in desert durability, the Pathfinder offers a much smoother, car-like ride on paved highways thanks to its unibody construction. It competes directly with the Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot, leading with its EZ Flex Seating System that allows easy access to the third row even with a child seat installed. Its 3.5L V6 is tuned for efficiency, making it a more economical daily commuter than many traditional 4x4s.

Running Costs & Resale

The Pathfinder's real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.5 L/100km on the highway, though city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh will see this rise. Nissan maintains one of the most robust service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring that spare parts are affordable and readily available at any local garage. While it depreciates slightly faster than a Toyota, the lower initial purchase price makes it a high-value choice for families, typically retaining about 75-78% of its used value over a three-year ownership period.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 engine provides smooth, linear power ideal for overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. It features an intuitive All-Mode 4x4-i system with a locking mode for extra traction on gravel or light sand, though it is best suited for beach trips rather than heavy dune bashing. With a verified towing capacity of 2,268 kg, it is fully capable of hauling jet skis or a small boat for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC summer, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for both the second and third rows to ensure all seven passengers stay cool. The interior is noted for its flexibility, with a second row that slides 5.5 inches to prioritize either legroom or cargo space. Deep door pockets and numerous cup holders cater specifically to the needs of large families on long road trips.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this SV trim includes the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage front bags, side-impact bags, and roof-mounted curtain airbags for all three rows. It features active brake limited slip (ABLS) and electronic stability control, which are vital for maintaining traction on sandy road shoulders or during rare heavy rain. The inclusion of a rearview camera and rear parking sensors provides extra peace of mind in busy residential areas.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a family buyer who needs a spacious 7-seater with the reliability of a Japanese brand and the rare benefit of very low mileage for its age. It offers the perfect balance of modern features and proven mechanical durability for the GCC market.
