Summary

This GCC-spec Ghost represents a refined entry into the world of Rolls-Royce, offering the peerless craftsmanship of a hand-assembled V12. With 53,000 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the regional average for a 2014 model, making it a standout choice for those prioritizing mechanical longevity. The Burgundy exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common monochromatic palette, offering a distinctive presence while remaining within the range of desirable colors for GCC resale. While it provides a more driver-focused experience than the larger Phantom, it maintains the essential 'magic carpet ride' necessary for navigating long UAE highway stretches in total serenity. For a buyer seeking a powerful executive statement that bridges the gap between performance and traditional luxury, this low-mileage example is a compelling local opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2014 Ghosts

With just 53,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged roughly 5,300 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual use seen in the GCC market. This low usage translates to better preservation of the bespoke leather and mechanical components compared to higher-mileage equivalents. The GCC specification ensures the cooling system and AC are optimized for local heat, a critical advantage over imported European or American models.

SWB vs Lower Trims

As the Short Wheelbase (SWB) model, this Ghost is designed for the owner who enjoys driving as much as being chauffeured, offering sharper handling than the EWB variant. This trim includes the essential handcrafted wood veneers and premium audio systems that define the brand. GCC buyers will appreciate the integrated climate-controlled seating and the high-resolution infotainment interface that comes standard at this level.

Ghost vs Segment Rivals

The Ghost leads rivals like the Bentley Flying Spur and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class by offering a more isolated, whisper-quiet cabin and the iconic rear-hinged 'suicide' doors for effortless entry. While the Bentley focuses on a firmer, sportier feel, the Rolls-Royce prioritizes its camera-fed suspension to iron out road imperfections. The 6.6L V12 provides a smoother power delivery than the smaller V8 engines often found in competitor base trims.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect real-world fuel consumption of approximately 14–17L/100km depending on GCC traffic conditions, requiring premium 98-octane fuel for optimal V12 health. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 to 20,000 km, with authorized service centers readily available in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. As a GCC-spec model with low mileage, it will hold its value better than gray-market imports, typically depreciating at a rate comparable to other top-tier European ultra-luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 delivers 563 hp and a massive 780 Nm of torque from just 1,500 rpm, allowing for effortless highway overtaking across the Emirates. It reaches a governed top speed of 250 km/h with a level of stability that makes long-distance travel between GCC cities feel remarkably brief. The 8-speed automatic transmission is satellite-aided, pre-selecting gears based on GPS data to ensure the smoothest possible transition through hilly terrain or intersections.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of acoustic glass and hand-stitched leathers, specifically designed to stay cool during extreme GCC summers. The air conditioning system is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in the industry, paired with ventilated seating to ensure comfort even in 50°C heat. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate zones and ample legroom, while the 490-litre trunk easily accommodates luggage for cross-border trips.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive suite of airbags and advanced stability control systems tuned for high-speed highway travel. The Ghost features Night Vision with pedestrian recognition, which is particularly useful for detecting hazards on unlit desert roads. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring provide essential assistance during fast-moving Dubai or Riyadh city traffic.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for an executive or collector who wants a low-mileage, GCC-spec Rolls-Royce that looks as distinctive as it drives. It offers a rare balance of significant depreciation savings and the pristine condition usually reserved for much newer vehicles.
