• 380 hp from a 3.0-litre Supercharged V6
• Terrain Response with six selectable modes
• Sliding panoramic roof with power blind

Summary

This 2016 Range Rover HSE offers a balanced combination of supercharged performance and executive refinement, making it a compelling choice for UAE buyers seeking prestige without the high running costs of the V8. With a higher horsepower output of 380 hp compared to the standard 340 hp V6, it provides effortless highway overtaking on the E11 while maintaining better fuel efficiency in stop-start city traffic. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient resale color in the GCC market, performing well in the heat and maintaining its aesthetic value. While the mileage is typical for a 2016 model in this region, the HSE trim adds essential comfort features like ventilated seats that are non-negotiable for local summers. For a buyer looking for a full-size luxury SUV that handles both the urban commute and weekend desert tracks with ease, this listing represents a versatile and high-spec opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2016 Range Rovers

With 156,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is consistent with average GCC annual use for a luxury daily driver, where long-distance commutes between emirates are common. The Grey paintwork is a strategic choice for the region, offering significantly better dust concealment and heat reflection than darker tones, which translates to stronger resale demand. As an American spec model, it provides the higher 380 hp output as standard, though buyers should ensure local navigation and radio frequencies have been updated for UAE use.

HSE vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the base SE, adding the sliding panoramic roof and premium Oxford perforated leather that drastically improves cabin ambience. GCC-specific comfort is enhanced with the addition of climate-controlled (ventilated and heated) front seats and a memory function for the 14-way power seats. It also upgrades the exterior with larger 20-inch wheels and more robust braking components compared to the entry-level configurations.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in sheer off-road capability thanks to its standard air suspension and sophisticated Terrain Response system. Its 105-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for cross-border trips compared to many German competitors. Additionally, the elevated 'command' driving position offers better visibility in heavy multi-lane traffic, a feature highly valued by luxury SUV drivers in Riyadh and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L Supercharged V6 is more economical than the 5.0L V8, with real-world fuel consumption averaging around 12-14 L/100km in mixed GCC driving. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km in this climate to protect the cooling and suspension systems from extreme heat and sand. While European luxury SUVs experience steeper depreciation than Japanese alternatives, the HSE trim maintains a steady value retention of approximately 50-55% at the five-year mark in the used market. Authorized service centers are widely available across major GCC cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

Performance & Capability

The 380 hp supercharged engine enables a verified 0-100 km/h time of approximately 7.1 seconds, providing smooth and linear power delivery ideal for highway merging. Its advanced air suspension allows for a maximum ground clearance of nearly 297 mm, making it exceptionally capable for light desert excursions or navigating uneven terrain. The permanent All-Wheel Drive system and high-low range transfer case ensure it remains one of the few luxury SUVs that can genuinely transition from a five-star hotel valet to a sand dune without hesitation.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout offers expansive legroom and a 13-speaker Meridian audio system that provides a studio-quality acoustic experience. The cabin is engineered for the GCC climate with powerful multi-zone climate control and acoustic glass that minimizes road noise and heat soak. Premium materials like Grand Black Lacquer trim and perforated leather surfaces ensure a tactile sense of luxury during long summer drives across the Emirates.

Safety

This HSE trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a 360-degree camera system for easier parking in tight urban spaces and blind-spot monitoring for high-speed highway safety. Standard features include multiple airbags, Electronic Traction Control, and Roll Stability Control, which are vital for maintaining composure on both slippery rain-slicked tarmac and loose gravel surfaces. The inclusion of Xenon automatic headlamps with LED signatures ensures maximum visibility during nighttime desert driving.

The bottom line

This Range Rover HSE is the ideal match for a professional who requires the prestige of a flagship SUV with a powertrain that is better suited to daily city use and regional highway cruising. It offers the perfect balance of high-end features and legendary capability in a color that remains a favorite for the GCC's second-hand market.
