Mercedes Benz S63 AMG STANDARD 75000

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.0 seconds
• 585 hp from a 5.5-liter biturbo V8
• 590-litre boot space

Summary

This 10-year-old S63 AMG offers a compelling entry point into flagship performance, featuring the legendary M157 biturbo V8. With 118,000 km, its mileage is significantly lower than the 200,000+ km often seen on decade-old luxury sedans in the GCC, suggesting it has avoided the heavy daily commuting typical of the region. As a Canadian spec model, it includes cold-weather features like a heated steering wheel and enhanced seat heating that are rare on local cars, while still benefiting from the global Mercedes-Benz service network. The classic black exterior remains the most sought-after color for luxury resale in Dubai and Riyadh, ensuring a wider pool of buyers in the future. For the GCC buyer, this represents a high-spec executive powerhouse that balances raw AMG speed with the unmatched road presence of the W222 chassis.

This Car vs Other 2016 S63 AMGs

At 118,000 km, this vehicle has averaged just 11,800 km per year, which is well below the UAE average of 20,000–25,000 km for high-end executive cars. While many 2016 models in the market have surpassed the 150,000 km mark, this example remains in a lower-wear bracket. The black-on-black configuration is a staple of the GCC luxury market, providing a significant advantage in resale speed compared to less traditional colors.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As a full-blooded AMG, this car sits at the top of the S-Class hierarchy, adding a handcrafted biturbo V8 and a 7-speed MCT transmission that non-AMG models lack. It features the AMG-specific Airmatic sport suspension and high-performance braking system, which are essential for maintaining stability at high speeds on the E11. Interior upgrades include Nappa leather as standard and the IWC-design analog clock, distinguishing it from the standard S500.

S63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The S63 AMG leads the BMW M760Li and Audi S8 in terms of sheer torque delivery, offering 900 Nm for effortless highway overtaking. Its 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides superior traction on sandy or rain-slicked roads compared to rear-wheel-drive competitors. The W222 interior is widely regarded across the GCC as the most refined cabin in its class, offering better sound insulation for long cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption averages approximately 10.3 L/100km on the highway, though GCC stop-start city traffic will see this rise significantly. Maintenance follows the Mercedes-Benz Service A/B schedule every 15,000 km, and while this is a Canadian spec, major components are shared globally, ensuring parts are readily available at specialized AMG centers across the UAE. This model year has already undergone its steepest depreciation, making it a stable asset that retains value better than newer, rapidly depreciating alternatives.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp biturbo V8 enables a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.0 seconds, providing supercar-level acceleration in a four-door sedan. Its all-wheel-drive system is tuned for performance, managing the massive 900 Nm of torque to ensure a composed feel during high-speed cruising between emirates. Multiple drive modes allow the driver to switch from a comfortable executive ride to a stiff, responsive sport setting at the touch of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of luxury, featuring dual 12.3-inch high-resolution displays and ventilated front seats that are crucial for the GCC summer. As a Canadian spec car, it offers exceptionally high-performance heating elements and acoustic glass that helps keep the interior cool and quiet against the desert heat and wind. The 590-litre boot provides ample space for luggage on family road trips or golf outings.

Safety

This S63 is equipped with Mercedes-Benz's full Pre-Safe suite, including Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control and active blind-spot monitoring, which are vital for safety on high-speed UAE highways. It also features lane-keeping assist and a 360-degree camera system to assist with parking in tight urban spaces. The 4MATIC system and advanced stability control provide peace of mind during the region's occasional heavy rain and sandstorm conditions.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, high-performance icon that offers significantly more character than a modern executive car at a fraction of the original cost.
