Summary

This 2017 Bentley Bentayga Signature brings the peak of British engineering to the UAE with its legendary W12 powertrain. Having covered just over 100,000 km, this GCC-spec example has transitioned past its steepest depreciation phase, making it a compelling entry into the ultra-luxury segment. The deep blue exterior is a highly desirable shade in the region, offering strong resale appeal compared to more niche colors. Designed for the cross-emirate lifestyle, it balances effortless highway cruising with a cooling system specifically engineered for the Gulf's extreme summer heat.

This Car vs Other 2017 Bentaygas

With approximately 102,800 km, this Bentayga aligns with the average annual use expected for a luxury daily driver in the GCC. The GCC specification is a critical advantage here, ensuring the high-performance W12 engine is supported by regional cooling upgrades that are absent in American or European imports. This specific mileage bracket represents a stabilized value point in the local market for the 2017 model year.

Signature vs Lower Trims

The Signature trim is defined by the massive 6.0-liter W12 engine, a significant step up in character and smooth power delivery over the later V8 models. It features high-grade quilted leather and a higher level of standard interior veneers that GCC buyers prioritize. This trim also standardizes advanced comfort features like front and rear climate-controlled seating, essential for maintaining cabin temperature during July and August.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

The Bentayga leads rivals like the Range Rover Autobiography and Mercedes-Maybach GLS in outright performance, being the first production SUV to break the 300 km/h barrier. Its permanent all-wheel-drive system and W12 torque make it more suited for high-speed stability on the E11 than its more road-biased luxury peers. The cabin insulation is significantly denser than the Range Rover, offering a quieter environment at highway speeds.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 is approximately 14.5 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, though highway cruising is remarkably efficient for a 12-cylinder engine. Bentley's authorized service network is well-established across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals every 16,000 km or 12 months. As a GCC-spec W12, it maintains a stronger residual value than non-regional imports, which typically trade at a 15-20% discount.

Performance & Capability

The 600 hp W12 TSI engine delivers 900 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 4.1 seconds—a remarkable feat for a vehicle weighing over 2,400 kg. Its top speed of 301 km/h makes it one of the fastest production SUVs ever built, providing effortless overtaking power on the highway. Multiple drive modes allow the air suspension to adapt from soft city comfort to a tighter setting for high-speed stability.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a showcase of hand-stitched leather and authentic wood veneers, creating a serene sanctuary away from Dubai's city noise. It features multi-zone climate control with powerful rear cooling vents to ensure all passengers remain comfortable in extreme heat. The acoustic glazing and heavy insulation protect the interior from both road noise and thermal transfer, making long drives between emirates feel much shorter.

Safety

This Bentayga is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Night Vision, a 360-degree camera for tight urban parking, and Adaptive Cruise Control for long desert highway drives. The structural integrity of the Bentley body is complemented by a sophisticated stability control system that manages the W12's power on varied surfaces. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist are also standard, providing essential support in fast-moving multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

For the executive who demands the prestige of a hand-built W12 engine and the security of GCC-spec reliability, this Bentayga is a mature, high-value alternative to a brand-new V8 model.
