Summary

This 2017 Dodge Challenger HELLCAT represents a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage muscle car icon in the GCC. Finished in a resale-strong white, this Japanese-spec unit has covered just 31,000 km, which is exceptionally low for its age in a region where long highway drives are the norm. The Hellcat remains the gold standard for American performance, offering a raw, supercharged character that modern electrified rivals simply cannot replicate. For a buyer in the UAE or wider Gulf, this car delivers unmatched presence on the road and effortless overtaking power for high-speed highway commutes.

This Car vs Other 2017 Challengers

With only 31,000 km on the odometer, this Hellcat sits well below the average mileage typically seen for 2017 models in the GCC, which often exceed 140,000 km. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the local market, offering better heat reflection and easier maintenance. As a Japanese-spec import, it provides a clean alternative to American-spec salvage titles often found in the UAE used market.

HELLCAT vs Lower Trims

The Hellcat is a significant mechanical leap over the SRT 392, replacing the naturally aspirated engine with a 6.2L supercharged Hemi. Beyond the 222 hp increase, this trim adds heavy-duty Brembo brakes, functional heat extractors on the hood, and the dedicated 'Red Key' that unlocks the full 707 hp potential. It also features standard ventilated front seats, a critical comfort feature for the extreme GCC summer heat.

Challenger vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 or Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the Challenger offers a much larger cabin and a genuinely usable rear seat for three adults. Its 70-liter fuel tank is better suited for long-distance drives between emirates than the smaller tanks in European sports cars. While rivals focus on track agility, the Hellcat leads in straight-line acceleration and comfortable highway cruising.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.5 L/100km, though this can rise significantly in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Authorized service centers for Dodge are well-established across all major GCC cities, ensuring parts for the Hemi engine remain accessible. While Japanese-spec cars require a checklist for GCC cooling compatibility, the Hellcat's inherent high-performance cooling system is robust. Historically, Hellcats retain value better than standard V8 muscle cars due to their cult status and discontinued powertrain.

Performance & Capability

The 707 hp supercharged V8 delivers a staggering 881 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.6 seconds. This performance makes highway merging and high-speed overtaking effortless, even in the fast-paced traffic of the UAE's E11. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned to handle the massive output while maintaining smooth shifts during daily commutes. Multiple drive modes allow you to soften the suspension for long-distance comfort or sharpen the steering for spirited weekend drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features Laguna leather performance seats with heating and ventilation, providing essential relief during July and August. The 8.4-inch Uconnect system is intuitive and paired with a premium audio system, making long drives between GCC borders more enjoyable. Cabin insulation is remarkably good for a performance coupe, filtering out road noise during high-speed highway runs. The 459-liter boot is large enough for a weekend road trip's luggage, a rarity in this segment.

Safety

Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection, which are invaluable on multi-lane GCC highways. The Hellcat also features advanced multistage front airbags and electronic stability control specifically tuned for high-horsepower rear-wheel-drive dynamics. High-performance Brembo brakes with 15.4-inch rotors ensure consistent stopping power, even in the high ambient temperatures of the Gulf.

The bottom line

This is a collector-grade Hellcat for the GCC enthusiast who values low mileage and a clean history. It offers the perfect balance of daily usability and world-class muscle car performance in the region's favorite color.
