Summary

This 2024 Ford Mustang GT Premium represents the first year of the refined S650 generation, combining raw muscle with a massive tech leap. With 50,000 km over two years, the mileage reflects consistent highway use typical for the region, while the Blue exterior remains a high-demand, strong-resale choice for GCC enthusiasts. This trim specifically bridges the gap between a track tool and a daily driver, offering cooled leather seats and an upgraded cockpit that outshines the base GT. It remains the only choice in its segment for those who demand a naturally aspirated V8 paired with a modern, high-definition interior. For a buyer looking to enter the latest Mustang generation without the first-year showroom premium, this is an exceptionally well-positioned opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2024 Mustangs

With 50,000 km in two years, this Mustang has seen slightly higher-than-average use compared to typical weekend-only garage queens, making it a mechanically proven long-distance cruiser. In the GCC market, this mileage often indicates reliable highway commutes between emirates rather than stop-start city wear. The vibrant Blue finish is a standout color that holds value better than niche shades in the local pre-owned market.

GT Premium vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the GT Premium replaces the standard cloth buckets with climate-controlled leather-trimmed seats, a critical upgrade for surviving GCC summers. It also adds the 13.2-inch center touchscreen and 12.4-inch digital cluster as a seamless glass display, along with premium interior materials and ambient lighting. You also benefit from pony projection lamps and 19-inch aluminum wheels that give the car a much more aggressive stance than the base GT.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Dodge Challenger have exited production, the Mustang stands alone by offering a high-revving 5.0L V8 with a sophisticated 10-speed automatic. It leads the segment in cabin technology, featuring a fighter-jet inspired cockpit that feels a generation ahead of the Chevrolet Camaro. The Mustang's independent rear suspension also provides a level of daily comfort and cornering precision that older-platform American muscle cars can't match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the Coyote V8 averages around 13.6 L/100km, which is efficient for a high-output engine on long GCC highway drives. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km, and Ford’s extensive authorized network across the UAE and wider GCC ensures parts are readily available. As an American spec model, buyers should verify local service center compatibility, though the Mustang's global popularity means independent specialist support is excellent.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this car is the 486 hp Coyote V8, delivering a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The 10-speed automatic transmission is optimized for quick shifts during spirited driving and relaxed ratios for cruising at 140 km/h. Multiple drive modes, including Track and Drag Strip, allow you to instantly reconfigure the steering weight and throttle response for different driving scenarios.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a massive digital interface running SYNC 4, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For the GCC climate, the standard ventilated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control provide essential relief from the summer heat. While the rear seats are best suited for smaller passengers, the front cockpit is spacious and refined, featuring soft-touch materials and premium audio that make it a genuine grand tourer.

Safety

Safety is handled by the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which includes blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert—a vital feature for multi-lane GCC highways. It also comes standard with lane-keeping assist, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control for relaxed long-distance travel. The 2024 model also introduces a safe-exit system, adding another layer of protection in busy urban environments.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for the enthusiast who wants the latest S650 technology and V8 power without waiting for a new factory order. It offers the perfect balance of daily comfort and iconic American performance in a high-resale color.
