Summary

This 9-year-old E300 AMG represents a smart balance of executive presence and sensible running costs in the GCC market. With 95,000 km on the clock, its mileage is significantly below the regional average for a car of this age, suggesting a life spent largely on shorter commutes rather than long-distance desert hauls. The AMG styling pack ensures it retains the sharp, modern aesthetic that local buyers prioritize for resale, while the unique Green finish sets it apart from the common sea of silver and white sedans. As a GCC-spec model, it features the cooling and filtration systems necessary to handle the extreme heat of UAE summers with reliability. It remains a top choice for professionals seeking a premium German sedan that delivers luxury without the high fuel overhead of a larger V8.

This Car vs Other 2017 E300s

At 95,000 km, this vehicle has averaged just over 10,000 km per year, which is remarkably low compared to the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for the GCC. This lower usage often translates to less wear on the suspension and interior materials. While white and black are standard market favorites, the Green exterior is a distinguished choice that can attract a niche premium at resale for buyers looking for something unique yet sophisticated.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim adds significant visual and mechanical depth over the base Luxury or Sport versions, featuring more aggressive front and rear aprons, larger alloy wheels, and a sport-tuned suspension. Inside, you typically benefit from the flat-bottomed sport steering wheel and upgraded trim materials that align the car more closely with the flagship S-Class. The inclusion of the 12.3-inch digital display as part of the W213 generation’s launch tech is a major differentiator in this trim level.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, the E300 leads on cabin refinement and the sheer 'S-Class lite' feel of its interior design. Its 540-litre boot provides superior cargo capacity for golf sets or family shopping trips compared to many rivals in the mid-size executive class. The 9G-Tronic transmission is also frequently cited as smoother than its peers, providing a more relaxed highway cruising experience across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is highly efficient for the GCC, returning roughly 7.1L/100km on the highway, though expect closer to 10.5L/100km in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically set at 15,000 km or 12 months, with an extensive network of authorized Mercedes-Benz centers available across all GCC states including the UAE, KSA, and Oman. The E300 holds its value better than its higher-displacement V8 siblings in the local market due to its lower maintenance costs and broader appeal.

Performance & Capability

With 241 hp and 370 Nm of torque available from as low as 1,300 RPM, the E300 offers immediate response for highway overtaking and city merging. The rear-wheel-drive configuration ensures classic sedan handling, while the 0–100 km/h sprint of 6.2 seconds remains competitive for the segment. Selectable drive modes allow the driver to sharpen the steering and throttle response for a more engaging drive or soften the dampers for ultimate comfort.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout for this generation, featuring premium materials and dual-zone automatic climate control specifically calibrated for the GCC’s high temperatures. With five full seats and ample legroom, it serves as an excellent executive commuter or a comfortable family sedan for road trips between emirates. High-quality acoustic insulation ensures the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, effectively blocking out highway wind noise and city bustle.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the E-Class, which holds a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. This trim comes standard with advanced systems such as Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, and multiple airbags. For GCC driving, the Blind Spot Monitoring and Stability Control systems are particularly valuable for navigating high-speed multi-lane highways and maintaining traction on dust-slicked roads.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec E300 AMG is the perfect opportunity for a buyer who wants a low-mileage, high-spec executive sedan that balances German luxury with regional reliability.
