Summary

This 2019 Bentley Continental GT W12 represents the peak of grand touring, pairing an iconic 12-cylinder engine with the refined chassis of the third-generation model. With only 53,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the 140,000 km average expected for a seven-year-old car in the GCC, suggesting careful occasional use. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable, market-stable choice for the UAE and wider region, ensuring stronger resale demand compared to bolder palettes. As a W12 trim, it offers a level of mechanical prestige and effortless highway passing power that the V8 cannot match. For a GCC buyer, this is a prime opportunity to own the definitive British grand tourer in its most complete, regional-spec form.

This Car vs Other 2019 Continental GTs

At 53,000 km, this example sits well below the average GCC annual usage of 20,000 km, which would typically place a car of this age closer to 140,000 km. The Grey exterior finish is a Tier-1 resale color in the Middle East, offering better value retention and faster liquidity than specialized or bright tones. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the insurance and service complications often associated with North American or European imports.

W12 vs Lower Trims

The W12 trim is distinguished by its 6.0-liter flagship engine, delivering 84 hp more than the V8 and a massive 900 Nm of torque. It comes standard with Bentley Dynamic Ride—a 48V electronic active roll control system that keeps the car flat during cornering without sacrificing the legendary ride quality. Visually, this trim is identified by its large twin oval exhaust tailpipes and standard 21-inch wheels, compared to the quad pipes and 20-inch wheels found on lower variants.

Continental GT vs Segment Rivals

The Continental GT leads rivals like the Aston Martin DB11 and Ferrari Roma by offering a genuinely usable 358-liter boot and a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system tailored for high-speed stability. Its 90-liter fuel tank is significantly larger than many competitors, providing the long-distance range required for cross-border GCC drives. The Bentley’s cabin insulation and dual-pane acoustic glass also offer superior heat and noise rejection compared to more track-focused alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 averages around 13.6 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic can see this rise to 16.5 L/100km. Service intervals are strictly every 10,000 km or 12 months, and authorized Bentley service centers are widely available in major hubs like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Kuwait City. While the W12 carries higher maintenance costs than the V8, it retains a dedicated collector following in the GCC, typically depreciating at 14–16% annually.

Performance & Capability

The 626 hp W12 engine enables a factory-claimed top speed of 333 km/h, making it one of the fastest four-seat coupes in the world. Its active all-wheel-drive system primarily sends power to the rear wheels for agility but can instantly shift torque to the front for maximum grip on dust-blown highways. Four distinct driving modes—Comfort, Bentley, Sport, and Custom—recalibrate the air suspension and steering to suit everything from city traffic to high-speed desert sprints.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat interior is a showcase of British craftsmanship, featuring hand-stitched leather and authentic wood veneers that are treated to withstand high UV exposure. The standard Bentley Audio system provides 650 watts of power, though many GCC units feature the upgraded Rotating Display for a clean, classic dashboard look when parked. Powerful multi-zone climate control is engineered to maintain a cabin temperature of 20°C even when external GCC temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes a 360-degree camera system for navigating tight urban parking and a full suite of airbags. The car features advanced driver aids such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Assist, which are essential for safety on high-speed multi-lane highways like the E11. Its high-strength steel and aluminum body construction provides a rigid safety cell, while Electronic Stability Control is specifically tuned to handle sudden changes in road surface grip.

The bottom line

For the executive who demands the ultimate in British luxury and 12-cylinder power, this low-mileage, GCC-spec W12 is the most complete grand tourer available in the regional market today.
