Summary

This GCC-spec convertible offers a high-performance open-top experience that is perfectly suited for the region's winter driving season. With a mileage profile that aligns with the UAE average for a 7-year-old sports car, it has been driven consistently without the extreme wear often seen in high-utilization imports. The silver exterior is a strategic choice for the Gulf, known for its superior heat reflection and strong resale demand in the local used market. As a GT Premium, it adds essential cabin cooling and leather refinements that elevate it far above base muscle car trims. For a buyer seeking the iconic roar of a naturally aspirated V8 with the security of regional specifications, this Mustang represents a reliable and high-value opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2019 Mustangs

At 95,289 km, this vehicle's mileage is considered average for a 7-year-old car in the GCC, where the typical annual usage of 20,000 km is common. Its silver exterior is a notable advantage, as it is one of the top three resale colors in the region due to its ability to remain cool under direct sunlight. Choosing this GCC-spec model ensures the cooling system and rubber components are built to handle the local climate, unlike many grey-market alternatives.

GT PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The GT Premium trim is a significant step up from the base GT, replacing cloth bucket seats with heated and ventilated leather-trimmed upholstery. It also introduces the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and dual-zone automatic climate control, features that are vital for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer. Additionally, this trim includes selectable drive modes and aluminum pedals, providing a more refined interior atmosphere than the entry-level muscle variants.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Chevrolet Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger R/T, the Mustang leads with a more modern interior layout and a superior 10-speed automatic transmission that balances highway efficiency with aggressive response. While the Challenger offers more interior volume, the Mustang’s convertible top operation and balanced handling make it a more versatile sports car for Dubai's well-maintained roads. Its naturally aspirated engine character remains a key differentiator against European turbo-charged competitors in this price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.0L V8 typically averages 13.0 L/100km, reaching approximately 19.3 L/100km in heavy stop-start traffic in cities like Riyadh or Dubai. The GCC specification provides a clear advantage at resale, commanding a premium of roughly 15-20% over American-spec imports. Ford's extensive authorized service network across all seven Emirates and Saudi Arabia ensures that maintenance and parts availability are straightforward compared to boutique performance brands. Historically, the Mustang maintains roughly 57% of its value after three years in the UAE market.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the 5.0L Coyote V8, delivering a verified 460 hp and 556 Nm of torque, which propels the convertible from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The 10-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned for effortless highway cruising and rapid overtaking on multi-lane highways like the E11. Selectable drive modes, including Track and Drag Strip, allow the driver to sharpen throttle response and steering weight to suit weekend drives through the Hajar Mountains.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for four passengers, featuring premium leather-trimmed seats that include both heating and ventilation for the front occupants. The powerful dual-zone air conditioning is designed to maintain a stable temperature even with the top down during the cooler months. The interior is finished with aluminum accents and ambient lighting, creating a high-tech environment that complements the digital connectivity of the Sync 3 system.

Safety

Standard safety features on the GT Premium trim include Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is exceptionally useful for the high-speed lane changes common on GCC motorways. The car also features rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and electronic stability control for reliable traction on sandy or rain-slicked surfaces. Advanced airbags and a post-crash alert system provide comprehensive protection for all four occupants.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2019 Mustang GT Premium is the ideal choice for an enthusiast seeking a well-maintained, high-resale silver convertible that balances raw V8 power with essential regional cooling features.
