Summary

This 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS350 AMG is a standout choice in the GCC market, offering a perfect balance of executive presence and efficient performance. With mileage well below the regional annual average, it presents a higher value proposition than higher-mileage alternatives typically found in the UAE. The AMG styling package enhances its iconic silhouette, while the black exterior remains a high-demand choice for local resale. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle extreme summer temperatures with optimized cooling systems. This model is ideal for those seeking the 'four-door coupe' aesthetic without the higher running costs of a V8.

This Car vs Other 2019 CLS350s

With just 67,000 km on the odometer, this CLS350 has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km per year average seen in the GCC. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the local used market, ensuring faster liquidity and stronger price retention compared to niche colors. Being a GCC-spec model, it carries a value premium and full serviceability at authorized centers across the Emirates.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim transforms the CLS with more aggressive front and rear aprons, side skirts, and larger alloy wheels that fill the arches more effectively than the base trim. Inside, you benefit from the AMG flat-bottom steering wheel and brushed stainless steel pedals, features that local buyers prioritize for a sportier cabin feel. It also typically includes the higher-tier 360-degree camera system and upgraded ambient lighting as standard.

CLS350 vs Segment Rivals

The CLS leads rivals like the Audi A7 and BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe in pure aesthetic impact, having pioneered the four-door coupe segment. Its 2.0L mild-hybrid powertrain offers superior fuel efficiency for daily Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi commuting compared to the larger engines found in many competitors. The MBUX interface and dual 12.3-inch screens provide a more integrated digital experience than contemporary rivals of the same model year.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 7.0 L/100km, making it one of the most economical luxury cruisers for GCC highway driving. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km or 12 months at authorized Mercedes-Benz centers, which are extensively available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The CLS maintains strong value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating around 12-15% annually, which is competitive for the premium European segment.

Performance & Capability

The 295 hp output allows for a refined 0-100 km/h sprint of 6.0 seconds, providing ample punch for fast-moving highway traffic. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission is tuned for seamless shifts, ensuring the car remains composed during long-distance drives across the Emirates. Multiple drive modes allow you to stiffen the chassis for sharper handling or soften it for maximum comfort on uneven city surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for premium GCC travel, featuring powerful multi-zone climate control and high-quality leather upholstery that stays comfortable in high heat. The dual-screen digital cockpit provides all essential navigation and media info at eye level, reducing distraction during long highway stints. Superior acoustic insulation ensures the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, even at typical highway speeds.

Safety

This trim features a comprehensive safety suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are vital for safety on multi-lane UAE highways. The standard 360-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view, making the long coupe body easy to park in tight urban mall spaces. Mercedes-Benz's Pre-Safe system adds an extra layer of protection by preparing the cabin if a collision is detected.

The bottom line

For the executive who wants the striking AMG look with sensible GCC running costs, this low-mileage, black-on-black GCC spec CLS350 is the smartest entry point into the modern Mercedes-Benz coupe lineup.
