Summary

This 2022 GLC 300 Coupe AMG combines the sleek profile of a sports car with the elevated command of an SUV, making it a standout choice for the UAE’s urban lifestyle. With 79,000 km, this vehicle has been driven at a typical GCC annual pace, ensuring it remains mechanically fresh for its next owner. The AMG trim adds a sharper, more aggressive aesthetic that holds higher appeal and resale strength in the local market compared to the standard variants. Its Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice in the region, known for maintaining its look through the summer dust while providing excellent value retention. For a GCC buyer, the standard inclusion of 4MATIC all-wheel drive offers superior stability during sudden rain or on sandy highway shoulders.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLC 300s

With 79,000 km, this GLC 300 Coupe aligns perfectly with the typical GCC usage of approximately 25,000 km per year, indicating consistent highway use rather than harsh stop-start city wear. The Grey exterior is one of the top three most resilient colors for the local climate, ensuring it retains a premium look and strong resale demand. Choosing the Coupe variant over the standard SUV provides a more exclusive, design-led profile that often commands a quicker sale in the pre-owned luxury market.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim elevates the GLC 300 with more aggressive front and rear aprons, a diamond-block grille, and larger alloy wheels that drastically change its road presence. Inside, you benefit from sportier seating and an upgraded steering wheel that feels more connected to the road. This specific trim is highly sought after in the GCC because it provides the visual impact of a performance model without the higher maintenance costs of a V6 or V8 engine.

GLC 300 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW X4 or Audi Q5 Sportback, the GLC 300 Coupe stands out with its MBUX infotainment system, which offers superior natural language voice control. It provides a more balanced ride quality that handles the GCC’s long highway stretches with more refinement than its firmer German competitors. The Mercedes brand also enjoys one of the most prestigious reputations in the region, supported by an unmatched network of specialized service centers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is optimized for efficiency, averaging approximately 8.1 to 9.0 L/100km on combined cycles, which is ideal for cross-emirate commutes. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a cooling system and radiator designed for 45°C+ temperatures, a major factor in maintaining long-term resale value. Maintenance is straightforward with 15,000 km service intervals, and the authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. You can expect a stable depreciation curve, typically losing around 12–15% annually, which is competitive for the premium European segment.

Performance & Capability

The 255 hp output provides a punchy 0–100 km/h sprint of 6.3 seconds, ensuring confident overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. Its 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system works seamlessly with the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission to provide maximum traction in all weather conditions. While designed for the road, the GLC Coupe features DYNAMIC SELECT modes, allowing you to sharpen the throttle response for a more engaging weekend drive through the Hajar Mountains.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of modern luxury, featuring 64-color ambient lighting and the intuitive MBUX dual-screen cockpit. For the GCC climate, the air conditioning is exceptionally powerful, quickly cooling the cabin even after hours in the sun. Despite the sloping roofline, it comfortably seats five and offers 500 litres of cargo space, which is ample for golf clubs or weekend luggage for a trip to Ras Al Khaimah.

Safety

Equipped with the Mercedes-Benz PRE-SAFE system and Active Brake Assist, this GLC is designed to protect in fast-moving highway traffic. Blind Spot Assist and a 360-degree camera system are particularly useful in the UAE's multi-lane environments, making parking and lane changes effortless. The vehicle also features Attention Assist, which monitors driver fatigue during long desert drives, ensuring peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the prestige and style of an AMG-styled Mercedes without sacrificing the reliability of a GCC-spec 4-cylinder, this GLC 300 Coupe is the ideal urban companion.
