• Low-range transfer case with three locking differentials

Summary

This 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 represents the highly sought-after first year of the complete W463A redesign, offering a massive leap in road manners over its predecessors. With just over 50,000 km, this GCC-spec example has been driven significantly less than the regional average, making it a standout choice for those prioritizing mechanical longevity. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring high demand when it is time to upgrade. This model famously blends military-grade off-road hardware with a cabin that rivals the S-Class for luxury. For a buyer in this region, the combination of low mileage and the right regional specification makes this a very secure investment.

This Car vs Other 2019 G63 AMGs

While many G-Wagons in the GCC accumulate high mileage due to frequent inter-city travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this example’s 50,330 km is considered very low for its age. Most 2019 models on the market have already crossed the 80,000 km mark, giving this vehicle a clear advantage in terms of wear and potential engine life. The white paint is not only the most practical choice for the local heat but also commands the highest liquidity in the secondary market.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the flagship AMG variant, the G63 adds significant hardware that the G500 lacks, most notably the hand-assembled bi-turbo engine and the specialized AMG Ride Control suspension. This trim includes the aggressive side-exit exhausts and flared wheel arches that define the G-Wagon's iconic silhouette. Inside, you benefit from the superior Burmester surround sound system and the dual 12.3-inch widescreen cockpit displays as standard.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands alone against rivals like the Range Rover Autobiography and the Lamborghini Urus by offering three independent 100% locking differentials for genuine desert capability. While the Urus focuses on track speed, the G-Wagon provides a more commanding driving position and significantly better durability for the rugged terrains found across the Emirates and Oman. Its upright design also offers superior headroom and a more versatile cargo area than its sloping-roof competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership costs for a G63 in the UAE are centered on specialized maintenance at authorized centers like Gargash or EMC, with minor services recommended every 10,000 km. While the V8 is thirsty in stop-start city traffic, it is optimized for high-octane Super 98 fuel commonly available across the GCC. Resale value for GCC-spec G-Wagons remains remarkably high, typically depreciating much slower than other European luxury SUVs due to the model's cult-like status in the region.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood is a hand-built 4.0L V8 Bi-Turbo engine producing a verified 530 horsepower, enabling this 2.5-ton icon to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. For weekend desert excursions, the 2.93:1 low-range gear reduction and 241 mm of ground clearance allow it to conquer dunes that would stop most luxury crossovers. The 9-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned to handle the massive torque, whether you're overtaking on the E11 highway or crawling through soft sand.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, featuring a high-performance climate control system with dedicated rear vents and insulated glass to keep the heat at bay. This generation finally introduced modern legroom for rear passengers, making it a viable family vehicle for long road trips across the borders. Premium leather, ambient lighting with 64 colors, and the tactile feel of the IWC-design analog clock create an executive atmosphere that justifies its prestigious reputation.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech designed for the fast-paced driving environment of the GCC. Standard features include Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC for relaxed highway cruising and Blind Spot Assist, which is vital given the G-Wagon’s unique dimensions. The vehicle also features a 360-degree camera system to assist with parking in tight urban spaces and Pre-Safe systems that prepare the cabin for impact if a collision is detected.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, GCC-spec G63 in the most desirable color combination, perfectly positioned for the buyer who wants the best of the redesigned generation without the steep depreciation of a brand-new model.
