Summary

This 2019 Volkswagen Teramont SE offers a versatile entry into full-size family motoring, featuring a clean blue exterior that maintains high appeal in the GCC used market. With under 99,000 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the regional annual average, ensuring it remains mechanically fresh for its next owner. As a purpose-built seven-seater, it offers significantly more interior volume than its rivals, making it a favorite for school runs and cross-border road trips. The combination of German engineering and a robust V6 powertrain makes this specific listing a secure long-term investment for growing families in the region.

This Car vs Other 2019 Teramonts

At 98,800 km, this Teramont sits comfortably below the typical GCC average of 125,000 km for a five-year-old SUV. The blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common white and silver variants, while still maintaining excellent resale potential due to its popularity in the UAE. This lower-than-average mileage suggests the vehicle has spent more time in light city use than demanding long-distance desert commuting.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim is the sweet spot for GCC buyers, adding essential comfort features not found on the base S model. It upgrades the cabin with a larger 8-inch Composition Media touchscreen, a rearview camera with dynamic guidance, and three-zone Climatronic air conditioning to ensure every passenger stays cool. Crucially, the SE also introduces keyless access with push-button start and front and rear acoustic parking sensors, which are vital for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai and Riyadh.

Teramont vs Segment Rivals

The Teramont stands out against rivals like the Ford Explorer and Chevrolet Traverse by offering a genuinely adult-sized third row with easier access via a one-handed fold mechanism. While American rivals often focus on towing, the Volkswagen leads in interior packaging, providing a flat-folding floor that creates up to 2,741 litres of total cargo space. Its German-tuned suspension also offers a more composed highway ride than the softer-sprung competitors in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.6L V6 is a proven, naturally aspirated unit that avoids the complexity of turbochargers, aiding long-term reliability in extreme heat. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 11.7 L/100km, which is competitive for a vehicle of this size during highway cruising across the Emirates. Authorized Volkswagen service centers are widely available in every major GCC city, and the Teramont retains its value better than smaller European SUVs due to the high demand for seven-seater family vehicles.

Performance & Capability

Despite its imposing size, the 280 hp V6 engine enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 8.0 seconds, providing confident overtaking power for fast-moving UAE highways. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring family comfort even in stop-start Sharjah or Riyadh traffic. While designed for the road, its 203 mm ground clearance and specialized drive modes provide the necessary capability for weekend trips to gravel paths or firm sand beaches.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for the Gulf climate, featuring dedicated air vents for all three rows and a powerful cooling system that reaches the rear quickly. The SE trim features durable V-Tex leatherette seating that is easier to maintain than fabric and holds up better against the sun. With 17 cupholders and multiple USB ports throughout the cabin, it is perfectly equipped for the modern family's tech and logistical needs during long summer drives.

Safety

Volkswagen has equipped this trim with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard. It also features an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, which prevents secondary impacts by applying the brakes immediately after a collision is detected. These active systems are complemented by six airbags and a high-strength steel safety cage, providing peace of mind for family transport.

The bottom line

This Teramont SE is the ideal choice for a buyer who needs maximum interior space without sacrificing German build quality, particularly as a well-maintained, lower-mileage example.
