Summary

This 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 offers a sophisticated balance of high-performance agility and long-distance grand touring comfort. Finished in a striking Gold that holds a unique prestige in the GCC market, this GCC-spec example has covered a below-average 65,000 km, reflecting careful use on the region's highways. Compared to the W12 variant, the V8 model provides a more driver-focused experience with better front-to-rear weight distribution, making it the preferred choice for those who enjoy a sharper steering response. For the GCC buyer, this specific listing represents a modern third-generation Continental that remains mechanically relevant and highly desirable in the local pre-owned market.

This Car vs Other 2020 Continental GTs

With 65,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 13,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. This lower-than-typical usage preserves the interior materials and mechanical components from the wear often associated with heavy highway commuting between emirates. The Gold exterior is a standout choice in a market dominated by white and silver, offering better-than-average resale appeal for buyers seeking a distinct luxury presence.

GT vs Lower Trims

The 2020 Continental GT V8 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of luxury features including a 12.3-inch rotating infotainment display, 20-inch alloy wheels, and an adaptive air suspension system with ride height control. While higher packages like the Mulliner Specification add cosmetic diamond-quilting, the standard GT V8 trim already includes essential GCC comforts like multi-zone climate control and soft-close doors. This trim is often favored by owners in the region for its superior fuel range and lighter front end compared to the heavier 12-cylinder model.

Continental GT vs Segment Rivals

The Bentley Continental GT leads its primary rivals, the Aston Martin DB11 and Ferrari Roma, in terms of absolute cabin refinement and everyday usability. While the Ferrari Roma offers a more aggressive sports car feel, the Bentley provides a far superior ride quality and rear-seat space, making it a more practical choice for long cross-border drives. Its standard all-wheel-drive system also offers significantly better stability on sand-dusted highways compared to its rear-wheel-drive competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V8 engine typically averages around 11.8 L/100km combined, which is highly competitive for a grand tourer of this weight. Authorized Bentley service centers are well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with recommended service intervals of 10,000 km or 12 months. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it maintains a stronger resale value and easier warranty/service eligibility compared to non-regional imports. Annual depreciation for this model year in the GCC market has stabilized, making it a predictable asset compared to newer luxury segments.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivers a potent 542 hp and 770 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even at higher temperatures. Power is managed through a lightning-fast 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and active all-wheel drive, ensuring maximum traction in all weather conditions. The V8's characterful 'burble' and lighter weight make it noticeably more agile in city traffic than the W12, while the cylinder deactivation technology allows for a total driving range of over 700 km on a single tank.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a four-seat layout finished in world-class leathers and wood veneers, designed to remain hushed even at triple-digit speeds. Standard features include heated front and rear seats, though GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the powerful air conditioning system and acoustic glass that effectively insulates the interior from desert heat. The 12.3-inch touchscreen integrates seamlessly with Apple CarPlay, providing modern connectivity for daily commutes across the Emirates.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including frontal collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and a safe passenger exit warning system. For the long desert highways of the GCC, the adaptive air suspension provides exceptional stability, while the multi-stage airbag system ensures comprehensive protection for all four occupants. This trim also includes advanced electronics to manage torque distribution, keeping the car composed on various road surfaces.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Continental GT V8 is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking the pinnacle of British grand touring with manageable mileage and a high-demand regional specification.
