Summary

This 6-year-old F8 Spider offers a perfect entry point into modern Ferrari ownership, featuring the legendary twin-turbo V8 in a striking yellow finish that holds high visual and resale appeal in the UAE. With mileage averaging just under 3,500 km per year, this example has been driven sparingly compared to typical GCC sports car usage. As the successor to the 488, it introduces superior aerodynamics and the potent Pista-derived engine, making it a benchmark for mid-engine open-top performance. For the GCC buyer, the Retractable Hard Top provides the best of both worlds: a quiet, insulated cabin during the peak summer heat and total open-air freedom for the winter months. It remains one of the most balanced supercars available, blending track-ready agility with enough road compliance for Dubai or Riyadh city driving.

This Car vs Other 2020 F8 Spiders

With 20,905 km on the odometer, this F8 Spider sits well below the typical 10,000–12,000 km annual average often seen in the GCC used market. The Giallo Modena yellow exterior is a classic Ferrari choice that maintains strong desirability and liquidity in the local market. Its GCC specification ensures the cooling systems and electronics are fully optimized for the extreme regional climate.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As a standalone mid-engine V8 model, the F8 Spider comes standard with an array of performance hardware that would be optional on lesser grand tourers, including the Side Slip Control 6.0 and the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer. This specific trim includes the carbon-ceramic braking system and the F1-inspired steering wheel with integrated LEDs, features that are highly prized by collectors in the Middle East.

F8 Spider vs Segment Rivals

The F8 Spider is frequently cross-shopped with the McLaren 720S Spider and the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder. It distinguishes itself with the highest torque output in this group (770 Nm), providing more immediate low-end punch for highway overtaking. Additionally, Ferrari's Retractable Hard Top is noted for superior thermal and acoustic insulation compared to the soft-top alternatives often found in rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 13 L/100km, though spirited city driving in stop-start traffic will increase this figure significantly. This model benefits from Ferrari's extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which helps maintain its robust resale value. Historically, the F8 has shown better value retention than its predecessor, typically depreciating at a lower annual rate than its British or German competitors in the GCC.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the award-winning 3.9L V8, which delivers a blistering 0–100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds. Its 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is engineered for lightning-fast shifts, making it exceptionally capable on high-speed stretches between emirates. With multiple drive modes controlled via the Manettino dial, you can transition from a comfortable cruiser to a focused track weapon instantly.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the driver-centric cockpit is designed for high-speed ergonomics, featuring a 2-seat layout that places all vital controls on the steering wheel. The air conditioning system is remarkably powerful, a critical feature for maintaining cabin comfort during UAE summers. Despite its performance focus, the cabin is well-insulated from road noise when the hardtop is deployed, making long-distance drives surprisingly fatigue-free.

Safety

Standard safety features include high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes for incredible stopping power and an advanced electronic stability program optimized for high-speed control. The Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer 2.0 works in the background to manage brake pressure at the calipers during cornering, providing an extra layer of safety during spirited drives on gravel-dusted desert roads.

The bottom line

This F8 Spider is a prime opportunity for a collector or enthusiast seeking a low-mileage, GCC-spec supercar that balances iconic styling with world-class performance.
