Summary

This 2020 Ferrari Portofino is a standout choice in the GCC market, combining blistering supercar performance with the daily usability of a hardtop convertible. With just 25,100 km on the clock, this 6-year-old vehicle has been driven significantly less than the regional average, preserving its mechanical integrity and cabin finish. The Blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common red, holding strong appeal for mature buyers and maintaining solid resale prospects in the UAE. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from optimized cooling systems essential for the local climate and remains eligible for Ferrari's comprehensive regional service support. For a buyer seeking the prestige of Maranello in a package that can handle both the Dubai commute and weekend drives to Jebel Jais, this listing offers exceptional value.

This Car vs Other 2020 Portofinos

At 25,100 km, this Portofino sits well below the typical 60,000–75,000 km expected for a 6-year-old car in the UAE, where long highway commutes are standard. The Blue paintwork offers a distinct, elegant presence that separates it from the high volume of Rosso Corsa examples, often leading to faster sales in the pre-owned luxury segment. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the warranty and cooling concerns often associated with North American or European imports.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the primary configuration for the Portofino, this trim includes the essential 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen and the high-speed Retractable Hard Top (RHT) that operates in just 14 seconds. It features the crucial 18-way adjustable seats which were redesigned for this model to improve rear legroom, a significant upgrade for GCC owners who occasionally use the 2+2 seating. This specific example also benefits from the standard-fit carbon-ceramic brakes and the Manettino dial for rapid adjustments to the car's driving dynamics.

Portofino vs Segment Rivals

The Portofino leads rivals like the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Aston Martin Vantage Roadster by offering a folding metal roof rather than a fabric top, providing superior heat and noise insulation for the GCC summer. Its 3.9-litre V8 is a multi-award-winning engine that provides a more visceral soundtrack and higher top speed than most competitors in the luxury GT class. While others focus purely on sport, the Portofino’s 292-litre boot space makes it more practical for weekend trips across the Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption averages approximately 11.7 L/100km on a combined cycle, though city driving in heavy GCC traffic will see this rise. The car remains under the 7-Year Genuine Maintenance program until 2027, which is a major value-add in the UAE as it covers all labor and original parts for annual services at authorized centers like Al Tayer Motors. Historically, the Portofino shows better value retention than the earlier California T, typically depreciating at 12–15% annually in the local market, supported by the high demand for usable Ferraris.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is a 600 hp twin-turbo V8 that delivers 760 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. A top speed of 320 km/h places it firmly in the supercar bracket, while the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides seamless shifts in stop-start city traffic. The chassis is 35% stiffer than its predecessor, allowing for precise handling on mountain passes without sacrificing the ride comfort required for long-distance grand touring.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the extreme GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system that is optimized to maintain temperature even with the roof down. The 2+2 seating configuration offers genuine flexibility, with the rear seats serving as a convenient secondary luggage area for long road trips. Acoustic glass and the solid hardtop construction provide a quiet, refined environment that rivals fixed-roof coupes when the RHT is closed.

Safety

Safety is managed by an advanced suite including F1-Trac traction control and the E-Diff 3 electronic differential, which provide maximum stability on both sandy coastal roads and high-speed motorways. Standard equipment includes front and side airbags, high-performance Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes for incredible stopping power, and a rear-view camera with parking sensors to assist in tight urban spaces. The LED headlights offer excellent visibility for night driving on unlit desert highways.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who wants Ferrari DNA in a versatile, low-mileage package that is still covered by the manufacturer's maintenance plan, this blue Portofino is the ideal GCC grand tourer.
