Summary

This 2020 Range Rover Vogue SE represents a balanced choice for the GCC market, offering the modern P400 Ingenium engine that delivers strong performance with improved efficiency for city commutes. With mileage averaging just over 20,000 km per year, it aligns perfectly with typical UAE driving patterns and has been maintained to a high standard. The Grey exterior is a versatile, high-demand choice in the region, ensuring better heat management and stronger resale value than darker tones. As a Vogue SE, it bridges the gap between the standard model and the Autobiography, providing essential luxury features like cooled seating and premium audio that are non-negotiable for local summers. For the buyer who values the commanding presence of a full-sized SUV without the higher running costs of a V8, this remains the definitive luxury workhorse.

This Car vs Other 2020 Range Rovers

At 84,300 km, this vehicle's mileage is exactly in line with the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km per year, indicating consistent highway use rather than strenuous short-trip wear. The Grey metallic finish is a strategic advantage in this market, offering excellent heat reflection during summer months and maintaining a higher resale premium compared to niche colors. Many 2020 models on the market are base Vogue trims; this SE variant offers a significant equipment jump that savvy local buyers prioritize.

VOGUE SE vs Lower Trims

The Vogue SE trim adds critical luxury and safety equipment over the standard Vogue, most notably the upgrade to perforated Semi-Aniline leather and the addition of seat ventilation for both front and rear passengers—a vital feature for the GCC climate. It also includes the Meridian Surround Sound system and 21-inch alloy wheels as standard. Safety is bolstered with the Drive Pack, which introduces Blind Spot Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition, features often missing from entry-level units.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover competes directly with the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, yet it remains the only one in the segment to offer a dual-range transfer case and genuine off-road architecture. While rivals focus on road-biased dynamics, the Range Rover provides superior wading depth and a tighter turning circle for its size, making it easier to maneuver in urban Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Its 104-litre fuel tank provides a significant range advantage for long-distance cross-emirate travel.

Running Costs & Resale

The P400 mild-hybrid powertrain is designed to optimize fuel use in stop-start traffic, with a combined official figure of 9.1 L/100km, though real-world GCC city driving typically sees figures closer to 12-13 L/100km. Service intervals are generally set at 13,000 km or 12 months, supported by one of the most robust premium service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European luxury SUVs face higher initial depreciation, the GCC-spec Range Rover holds a unique status that stabilizes its value better than American or European imports.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-litre inline-six engine produces 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque, utilizing an electric supercharger to eliminate lag during high-heat highway overtaking. Standard electronic air suspension allows the vehicle to lower for easy entry or raise for maximum ground clearance when navigating desert terrain. The Terrain Response 2 system automatically adjusts to sand, gravel, or grass, ensuring the vehicle remains composed regardless of the surface.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the cabin features the Touch Pro Duo twin-screen system, providing a modern interface for climate and navigation. The four-zone climate control system is specifically engineered to cope with extreme temperatures, ensuring all five passengers remain cool even at 45°C. Acoustic laminated glass and Windsor leather trim create a library-quiet environment, isolating occupants from road noise and the harsh external environment.

Safety

This Vogue SE comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and a 360-degree camera system that is essential for parking a vehicle of this footprint. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go is particularly useful for the long, fast-moving highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The inclusion of Blind Spot Assist provides peace of mind when navigating the multi-lane motorways common in major GCC cities.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Vogue SE is the ideal match for an executive or family looking for the ultimate regional status symbol with the right balance of luxury features and sensible mileage.
