Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 AMG is a standout choice in the compact luxury segment, pairing the security of All Wheel Drive with a sharp, low-mileage profile. With only 46,324 km on the clock, it has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km per year expected in the GCC, offering a mechanical longevity advantage to its next owner. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable resale color in the UAE, providing both a modern aesthetic and strong value retention. As an AMG-styled model, it offers the aggressive looks of the high-performance variants with the manageable running costs of the efficient four-cylinder engine. For any buyer in the region, the combination of premium cabin tech and a proven powertrain makes this a versatile daily driver for both city commutes and long highway stretches.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLA250s

With just over 46,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is exceptionally low compared to the 80,000–100,000 km typically seen on four-year-old GCC-driven cars. The Grey exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the local market, ensuring it remains easier to trade or sell later. While many American-spec imports may have varied histories, the mechanical health and low wear on this specific unit make it a prime candidate for a long-term owner.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG styling package elevates this CLA250 over the standard trim by adding a more aggressive body kit, larger alloy wheels, and a sport-inspired interior with a flat-bottom steering wheel. It features the advanced MBUX infotainment system as standard, which is highly sought after by UAE buyers for its voice-control capabilities and sleek digital cockpit. This trim also benefits from upgraded suspension tuning that provides a sharper feel without the harshness of the full AMG CLA35.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

The CLA250 leads rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe with its distinct 'four-door coupe' silhouette and a larger 460-litre boot that handles family airport runs with ease. Its 221 hp engine offers a punchier mid-range than many entry-level luxury competitors, making it better suited for the fast-moving highway traffic of the E11. The Mercedes MBUX interface is widely considered the most intuitive and visually impressive tech suite in this compact class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is remarkably efficient for GCC highway driving, typically averaging between 6.7 and 7.3 L/100km. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts and expert technicians are always accessible. While American-spec vehicles require careful verification for local warranty eligibility, the high demand for the CLA model year ensures it remains a liquid asset in the used market.

Performance & Capability

Reaching 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, the CLA250 delivers a spirited performance that makes merging into high-speed highway traffic effortless. The 4MATIC All Wheel Drive system provides superior grip during the rare but heavy rain showers that can make local roads slick, and it adds stability on gravel-strewn surfaces. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures gear changes are almost imperceptible, maintaining comfort during long drives between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is insulated against the intense GCC summer heat, featuring a dual-zone automatic climate control system designed to reach target temperatures rapidly. Ambient lighting and premium MB-Tex upholstery create a sophisticated environment that feels significantly more upscale than its compact dimensions suggest. The digital dashboard and central touchscreen are clear even in direct sunlight, a vital feature for driving in the bright desert environment.

Safety

This CLA250 is equipped with Active Brake Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring, both of which are essential for navigating the multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh. The standard rearview camera and parking sensors simplify maneuvering in tight urban parking structures, while eight airbags provide comprehensive protection for all occupants. Its all-wheel-drive system further enhances safety by providing consistent traction in varied road conditions.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, AMG-styled CLA250 is the perfect opportunity for a young professional or small family seeking the prestige and technology of a modern Mercedes-Benz with a distinctive look that holds its value.
