Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 AMG is a standout choice for those seeking a modern, tech-forward sedan with a sporty edge. With its grey exterior and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, it offers a refined yet capable driving experience that handles the GCC’s high-speed highways with confidence. The AMG styling package elevates its presence, making it a more aggressive alternative to the standard CLA or rivals like the Audi A3. Having covered just over 46,000 km, this vehicle remains in its prime, offering a significant balance of modern luxury and spirited performance. For a UAE-based buyer, this American-spec model represents a high-specification entry point into the Mercedes-Benz brand at a competitive price point.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLA250s

With only 46,324 km on the odometer, this CLA250 sits well below the typical 80,000–100,000 km range expected for a four-year-old car in the GCC market. The grey exterior is a highly desirable shade in the region, known for maintaining strong resale value and hiding the dust of the local environment. This combination of low mileage and a market-favored color makes it a technically and aesthetically strong contender in the pre-owned segment.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim level completely transforms the CLA250's character compared to the Progressive or Style lines, adding a more aggressive body kit, larger performance-oriented wheels, and a sportier interior layout. Inside, you benefit from upgraded sport seats and the higher-tier MBUX infotainment features that are often optional on lower trims. This specific model also features 4MATIC all-wheel drive, providing superior traction and stability over the standard front-wheel-drive versions.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to segment rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, the CLA250 stands out with its 'four-door coupe' silhouette and class-leading MBUX digital cockpit. Its 221-horsepower engine provides a punchier acceleration than many entry-level premium sedans, while its all-wheel-drive system offers better composure during sudden lane changes or in rare wet conditions on UAE roads. The Mercedes-Benz brand presence also typically ensures higher visibility and prestige in the GCC market.

Running Costs & Resale

The CLA250 offers impressive fuel efficiency for a premium sedan, averaging roughly 8.7 L/100km, which is beneficial for the long commutes between Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. As an American-spec car, it is typically priced lower than GCC-spec equivalents, providing an opportunity for a higher initial spec for your investment. Mercedes-Benz parts and authorized service centers are widely available across all emirates and major GCC cities, ensuring long-term maintenance is straightforward.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, enabling a swift 0–100 km/h sprint of 6.3 seconds. This power is managed through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that provides quick, seamless shifts ideal for highway overtaking. The 4MATIC system intelligently distributes power to all four wheels, ensuring the car remains planted and predictable even at its electronically limited top speed of 209 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of modern luxury, featuring a dual-screen digital layout and high-quality materials throughout the five-seat interior. GCC summer comfort is prioritized with a dual-zone automatic climate control system designed to quickly cool the cabin after being parked in the sun. The AMG-specific sport seats provide excellent lateral support during spirited drives while remaining comfortable enough for long cross-country journeys across the Emirates.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim is extensive, featuring Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist, which are particularly valuable for long-distance highway driving. The car is equipped with a comprehensive 8-airbag system and electronic stability programs designed to maintain control on various road surfaces. The inclusion of a 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system further enhances safety by providing mechanical grip that front-wheel-drive competitors often lack.

The bottom line

This low-mileage CLA250 AMG is the perfect opportunity for a young professional or small family looking for the prestige of a Mercedes-Benz with a modern, high-tech interior and sporty performance.
