Summary

This 2021 Bentley Bentayga represents the significant mid-cycle refresh, offering the updated exterior styling and modern cabin technology that local buyers prioritize. With mileage that reflects typical highway use between major GCC cities, this V8 variant is the most sought-after configuration for its balance of performance and daily usability in our climate. The black-on-black color combination remains a top-tier choice for resale strength in the UAE and Saudi markets. While rivals like the Range Rover or Urus offer prestige, the Bentayga stands alone for its hand-built interior refinement and long-distance high-speed stability. It is the definitive luxury all-rounder for the region, perfectly suited for both executive commuting and cross-border road trips.

This Car vs Other 2021 Bentaygas

At 84,403 km, this vehicle has been driven consistently across the region's well-maintained highway networks, placing it within the expected range for a luxury SUV in the GCC. The black exterior is highly favored in the local market for its classic appeal and ease of resale compared to brighter, niche colors. As a 2021 model, it benefits from the updated digital cockpit and sharper LED 'cut crystal' lighting signatures that differentiate it from earlier versions.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The V8 Standard serves as the foundation of the refreshed Bentayga range, including the essential 10.9-inch high-resolution touchscreen and wireless smartphone integration that were absent in pre-2021 models. It features the essential GCC-spec requirements like multi-zone climate control and premium leather-wrapped surfaces. While higher trims like the Azure or Speed add specific themes, this trim allows for a cleaner, understated look while maintaining the core hand-assembled Bentley craftsmanship.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Lamborghini Urus, the Bentayga offers a significantly more supple ride thanks to its standard air suspension, making it better suited for the long highway stints between Dubai and Abu Dhabi or Riyadh. It leads the Aston Martin DBX in cabin insulation and material density, providing a quieter environment during the peak of the GCC summer. The 85-litre fuel tank ensures greater range for cross- emirate travel than many smaller-capacity competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V8 is a robust powertrain well-known to authorized Bentley service centers across the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, ensuring reliable parts availability. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 13.0 L/100km, which is efficient for a vehicle of this stature on GCC highways. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains its value far better than imported American or European examples, typically following a depreciation curve of 12-15% annually.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbo V8 produces 770 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless overtaking at highway speeds and a top speed of 290 km/h. The All-Wheel Drive system is paired with selectable drive modes that manage the air suspension, providing enough ground clearance for gravel paths and desert-side parking during weekend escapes. It delivers a 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, ensuring sports-car performance despite its commanding SUV presence.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in upholstery, featuring deep-pile carpets and hand-stitched leather that remains cool under the sun. The 2021 refresh introduced a redesigned center console and improved air conditioning vents, which are critical for maintaining cabin temperature during extreme summer heat. Acoustic glass is standard, isolating the interior from both road noise and the high ambient temperatures of the region.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite, featuring blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert which are essential for navigating multi-lane GCC highways. The advanced stability control system is tuned to handle varied surfaces from smooth asphalt to wind-blown sand. Standard front and rear parking sensors, paired with a high-definition camera system, make maneuvering this large SUV in urban environments effortless.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the updated 2021 look and tech in a high-resale color, ready for immediate use across the GCC.
