Summary

This 2021 Nissan Patrol LE T2 is a quintessential choice for the GCC, offering the high-output V8 engine preferred for desert driving and effortless highway cruising. With mileage under 64,000 km, it sits well below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the region, suggesting a gentler life than many of its counterparts. The Grey exterior is a resilient, high-resale color that manages the local dust and heat effectively while maintaining a professional aesthetic. As a V8 LE trim, it represents the heart of the Patrol’s capability, balancing essential luxury with the mechanical durability needed for cross-border trips or weekend dune adventures. This is a reliable, high-retention asset that remains the benchmark for large family SUVs in the Middle East.

This Car vs Other 2021 Nissan Patrols

With only 63,941 km on the clock, this Patrol has been driven significantly less than the typical 75,000–90,000 km expected for a three-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The Grey finish is a strategic choice for the local market, offering stronger resale demand than niche colors while hiding fine desert sand better than black. It represents a low-mileage opportunity in a market where these vehicles are often used for heavy long-distance commuting.

LE T2 vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the LE T2 adds significant lifestyle upgrades over the base LE T1, most notably the electric sunroof and a power-operated tailgate which are essential for GCC family logistics. You also gain a remote engine starter—a vital feature for pre-cooling the cabin during the peak summer months. Inside, the trim upgrades to leatherette upholstery and a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, providing a much more modern interface than the basic units found in entry-level models.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Ford Expedition in terms of sheer fuel capacity, with its 140-litre tank providing exceptional range for long desert stretches. While the Land Cruiser focuses on heritage, the Patrol’s independent rear suspension offers a smoother ride on the paved highways between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its 5.6L V8 is renowned for its linear power delivery, which many GCC drivers prefer over the smaller turbocharged engines found in newer competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The Nissan Patrol remains one of the best-performing vehicles for value retention in the UAE and wider GCC, typically depreciating slower than European luxury SUVs. Real-world fuel consumption for the V8 averages between 16–18 L/100 km in mixed driving, though this can rise in heavy city traffic with full air conditioning. Maintenance is highly convenient, supported by an extensive network of authorized service centers and readily available parts in every major GCC city.

Performance & Capability

The 428 hp V8 engine provides the necessary grunt for overtaking at high speeds and conquering steep dunes with ease. A 3,500 kg braked towing capacity makes it a top choice for those pulling boats or trailers to the coast. With a selectable four-wheel-drive system and dedicated sand modes, the Patrol transitions seamlessly from a comfortable city cruiser to a dominant off-road force.

Comfort & Cabin

This eight-seater configuration is designed for large families, featuring a dual-zone climate control system with rear vents specifically engineered to handle 45°C+ temperatures. The LE T2 cabin includes a cooled center console (cool box) to keep beverages chilled during long summer drives. Acoustic glass and thick insulation ensure the interior remains quiet and isolated from the heat and wind noise typical of highway travel.

Safety

The 2021 Patrol LE T2 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including front, side, and curtain airbags to protect all three rows. Standard driver aids include a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors, which are essential for navigating a vehicle of this size in tight urban spaces. Intelligent braking systems and electronic stability control provide added security when driving on loose sand or gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a low-mileage, V8-powered icon with the right mix of summer-ready features and high resale value, this LE T2 is a standout opportunity.
